Zone 6 London to London central annual pass costs approx £2500. Midlands to London central annual pass costs approx £7060. About £4500 more. Living out of London is definitely worth it.

That’s not true housing problem is all over the country Sir. Council put people in Hotels because there is no enough housing even north

The housing crisis certainly exists in the north too. There are huge amounts of applications for any rental property advertised, many hotels taken over completely to house asylum seekers long term and larger amounts on council waiting lists for social housing. Also, the salaries are less on average in the north, so although the house prices are less, they are no more affordable. I think it’s a shame John is portraying the conservatives thinking there is no problem up north.

If Labour did build that volume it would crash house prices. The UK is the 8th most populated country in the world. (Per square mile). The biggest home builders have already changed their planning tactics towards social housing because they predict Labour will get in next time.

Not sure. I think as John points out in the video, a large chunk of this 1.5m will be built by Councils and Housing associations with Govt loans/grants. Ie much of this new supply will not hit the mainstream market

It should have said, "for property developers". I didn't hear anything about BTL investors including the ridiculous and unjustified tax introduced by The Conservatives. Nothing about rental policies etc. Disappointed personally.
