Trash and then recycling on a 2007 Labrie Automizer ASL. The auto-pack on this truck is broken, so every pack is a result of pressing and holding a hard-press button in the cab. You might notice a delay in packing as a result.

Nice job brother. I know it stinks to have to get out of the truck when people make a mess or don’t bag... but it’s just part of the job. I have to say it may be an older truck and/or design, but I like the process and efficiency of the ram vs. the blade. More seems to get done in less amounts of time. However, it does appear to get hung up more which means you have to climb up and knock things in front of it

Our trash service and our recycling service in our town doesn't stop and the person gets out and drags the trash can or recycling can to the truck. They just drive right passed if they don't see any trash or recycling can near the curb.

I once mailed a heart monitor without disconnecting the battery. It was in blue USPS mail bin going off every ten minutes. When I told my cardiologist about that he cracked up laughing. 😅 Nobody told me to disconnect the battery. This was at the time of terrorist scares.

No joke, this truck has been broken for months before filming, then broke about a week after filming. In our case, it's the truck itself (2007 American LaFrance Condor) that keeps breaking, body has been perfect (besides some hydraulic leaks)

@@medicalgarbage3575 Oh those Condors. Maybe they are ok, but from what I have seen, they are junk. They always are breaking down! I prefer Mack, Autocar, or Freightliner. The Labries are great though since they pack an incredible amount!

No one has uploaded one of the actual hopper view just filmed the outside of the trucks but I’ll try to upload one . But it has the 8 ft deep hopper and the front loader style cylinders but once I get over a hundred cans is when I have to start watching those big cardboard boxes that the customers put inside their cans and don’t break em down they block up the hopper and most of the time I’ll have climb up in there to push them down myself and the same with the broken down boxes and the also has a Ledge that runs across the packer that catches a lot of the items being dumped into the hopper the sometimes blocks the hopper camera 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️.

I was wondering what was up with packer then read description on video. Does the blade always stop when the brakes are applied even when the autopack function works? Pretty sure ours run until the multicycle hits it limit.

Nope the blade just goes back and forth in direct correlation to a button I'm pressing in the cab. I guess I did get in the habit of retracting it when I pressed the brake though, lol. Didn't even notice!

You know, that there's not enough of you folks out there that just do trash, recycling I can't get into, granted there are those that like that more, that one guy who put vids up is gone, he posted a few times a week and there's the other dude who just vanished. But anyhow trash vids for me, are more fun to watch, you never know what is gonna come out of those cans. That idea with the compactor on the trash truck started back when I was finishing high school, they still do that today they drop the empty and pick up the full one, the compactor unit is attached to the store. I worked in a department store back then and we had lots of fun with the unit where I worked, we tossed shopping carts, bins, even a cast iron bath tub used for a display, that pushed the trash deeper into the container, but anyway think we'd all appreciate it, thanks!!!!!

Oh you don't want to know.. reminds me of an story one of my sister told. A while ago, there was an bulk waste container in the street where my sister lives, since someone was renovating. Turned out they also trow a smoke dector in in that container, with the battery still in it. Wasn't a problem for the first few days, but than it started to beep, since the battery was almost empty. Guess what, that beeping started midnight, so my sisters husband had to get out midnight to silence that freaking thing, because they couldn't sleep. And the smoke dector also was on the bottom of that bulk container.

The beeping is from the arm not being stow meaning that the arm isn’t all the way back to the truck or the claw is not all the way closed there are sensors on the truck that tell the driver if the arm or claw is not all the way in, that’s when the truck beeps.

I did recycling, then dumped it at the recycle center, then came back with the same truck and did garbage. In fact, this truck doesn't even fit all the garbage from this subdivision; have to break away to the landfill part way through haha

I'm so confused, obviously there is s recycling program in this area bcz the video switched over to it half way through, so why is so much recycling being picked up for the garage? The driver even gets out to hand toss and then manually stamp down a large piece of cardboard when the truck was clearly picking up non-recyclables. If I had a garbage can with a ton of cardboard (or other recycling in it) with the garage my city would refuse to take it.
