I clicked on because I liked the pattern. I can not wait to do this come evening!!! You are a great teacher and I am so interested in learning new things and how you do your SSK and the P2tog in backloop is fantastic! Dropping the YO's will be a first for me. Thank you!

Thank you so much. Your demonstration is very clear and easy to follow. I’d like to be able to save the pdf, but can’t seem to manage it. I found it on your site (the link doesn’t go straight to the pattern), but can’t seem to save the pdf.

The PDF with this tutorial is part of the Knitting Collection #2 (www.10rowsaday.com/knitting-collection2), but you can also convert the tutorial at www.10rowsaday.com/hearts-stitch when you copy and paste it into a Word file, and save it as a PDF. Happy knitting!

Love the heart pattern, but thought the left slanting purl decrease was really interesting. I’m going to practice that. Also, you have beautiful nails. What’s your secret?
@10rowsaday6 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Patty :-) I don't like purling 2 together through the back loop (it's such a pain!), so I was happy when I discovered this fancy way to do the same decrease but without dislocating my wrists LOL.

10rowsaday I've done a pretty pattern called "Column of Leaves" on Ravelry.com, it is a lace stitch but required this difficult purl 2 together like the one you demonstrate here, also on the back side of the work. I really requires some counting as when pattern stitches occur on the back, it is hard sometimes to get them in the right place.... but looks beautiful when knit correctly. l'd do it by knitting backwards on the front of the work, (in which case it looks like knitting but you are actually purling) and found it easy to make by slipping stitches back and forth and I could see what I was making also. The pattern is free with a link from Ravelry and you may enjoy it also. The more I practice a new stitch, the better I remember how to do it. If one is a tight knitter as I was when I learned this, I really struggled. Thank you for your workaround which makes such absolute sense. You always have the best tutorials. brookenelson.com/leafscarfpattern.html

need to slow down specially for a beginner like me i could not keep up at all managed to do 3 rounds and couldnt get it as was too fast didnt like at all which is a shame
@10rowsaday6 жыл бұрын
Hi Chelsie. Sorry, the tutorial was faster than you would like it to be. Because it's not a beginner pattern, I haven't thought to slow down. On the other hand, that's the beauty of a video tutorial - you can always pause it to work through the row, and then play it again to get instructions for the next row. I hope you'll enjoy it better that way. Happy knitting :-)
