GOD BLESS YOU LACEY STURM. I can’t wait to watch you with Flyleaf this September when you come to Blue Ridge Rock Festival in Virginia. I'm not meaning to sound pretentious and annoying but so be it, do you see how a lot of her songs flyleafs have the word of God and His ways and themes in them? I loved them for so long and was blind still to see that the same songs that I listen to now have biblical themes and actual parables from the Bible in them. Im still work in progress. Ikr this song really shows the war between sin and God I love the part at the beginning where the guy on her left is acting crazy but the one on her right turns her face towards him. It reminds me that when sin/pride tries to intimidate us or even make us doubt our salvation, God is there to show us and silence our fears. Then eventually we don't even hear pride anymore. Amazing song she captures all the emotions of rage, hate, and misery. The emotions of confusion, self doubt of a true mental break. A moment in time upon you want all the pain to stop. This video/song to me, is possibly about trusting the false people and "prophets" in life, only to find out they are wolves in sheep's clothing. But why give up personal faith or self-worth just because some wicked human hurt you? Reread this this morning.. [Now some of the scribes were sitting there, questioning in their hearts, “Why does this man speak like that? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?” And immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they thus questioned within themselves, said to them, “Why do you question these things in your hearts? Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven’, or to say, ‘Rise, take up your bed and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins” -he said to the paralytic- “I say to you, rise, pick up your bed, and go home.” Mark 2:6-11 ] This video and these verses spoke volumes to my heart today. Thank you for such a beautiful song and video, Lacey and Josh!

@iMuzik3 Жыл бұрын
@chadsix4838 One is Flyleaf, one is just Lacey.
@Dimitar_Tsanev Жыл бұрын
Lacey's solo stuff sounds more generic. Yes-her singing stands out but Flyleaf is more than her and it reeeeaaaally shows in the music itself. Their guitar and bass arrangement is top notch while they're definitely not on the same level in her solo songs. To be fair this particular song shows some promise but still far from Flyleaf's level(except for the emotional and powerful vocals).
@vincentdarkrosrayne Жыл бұрын
@@chadsix4838 Lacey's solo stuff reminds me more of Skillet. a little more Alternative rock sounding where Flyleaf was closer to Grunge and a little heavier version of rock while not being metal (for their first album at least and not counting the first song which was definitely more metal)
