I just found a seat for my 2016 3.5 L off Amazon and the cushion gets here in like three days for under 50 bucks. I also found on Amazon the pigtail wire set for the connection to the module underneath the passenger seat for $20 and that’s gonna be here tomorrow. My connection was fried and watching another one of your videos, I found out confirming with what a few other KZbinrs were saying about the ground, faulting out and melting the plastic. I just hope that module doesn’t have any problems but I’m glad that I should have everything I need by the weekend to fix my seat issues. These freaking Fords though about a year and a half ago I had to do the driver side exhaust manifold because of a cracked bolt, and now it shows that I have to do the bank to catalytic converter. This started at 105k approximately. I mean every truck and every car has their issues with some of these things that Ford is doing is just absolutely ridiculous like there was a recall on the tailgate and after they did that they put in an update and now I cannot open my tailgate if my engine is running and I can’t tell you how absolutely frustrating that is. It’s ridiculous. I’ll be parked getting out I want to jump to the back and get a tool or put something in and I have to turn off the freaking truck just to do cell It’s absolutely ridiculous Thanks for the video on the seat cushion to me. It’s just stuck out that that’s some thing I need to do and I’m hoping it will solve most of my issues with venting.

Love my Ford truck. But I NEVER had these stupid types of problems with my Toyota, Nissan or Acura. Mind you they were older vehicles, All consecutive, can’t speak to their quality now. But crushed seat cushions is just hot garbage. Broken bolts on exhaust manifolds because they didn’t use an extra mounting point is hot garbage. Failing IWE after MULTIPLE generations is hot garbage. Two timing chains under warranty due to noise - yet tech did say everything looked good so precautionary fix - and noise back a third time out of warranty……. HOT GARBAGE. I bumped up my oil changes because you said we should. I look at my old 84 Supra manual and an 03 SuperDuty and note the more frequent intervals. Lube is cheaper than parts. It’s what they told us to do before, and its what the old timers were sticklers for from experience on old cars and keeping gear running during WW2. Just keep changing oil. Unfortunate, it’s hard at today’s prices and experience to justify buying another Ford.

Can you just buy regular cushion and take off heating and cooling element out and stick it back on seat?

I have a 2014 f150 fx4 with suede leather blower turns on but I can’t feel the air cool the seat would this be the issue too

The driver seat in my 17 cx5 is showing some serious cushion damage. 39000 miles, i weigh 205. Seat looks great cushion is crushed Smfh

Thanx rich. Love your vids. I think I found the problem with my seat heater not getting to full temp. I ohm the heater itself and was getting high resistance (11 ohms). As I was moving around on the seat the numbers was jumping around so I ordered a new seat heater and seat cushion. Hope this resolves the issue

My backrest cools and the seat doesn't. And when I use heat the seat heats but not the back rest. Dealer is telling me they have to wash out the air ducts. But I'm concerned water will cause problems. 2015 F150.

Chances are your heated seat pad for the back needs replaced and the lower seat fan motor called a Ted ( thermal electric device ) this is what creats some cool air needs replaced -

I would like to make a suggestion over a headlamp that I have used for the past two years since I see that you require want most of the time. I get at walmart (😊) but i think its very good. Model 20235 hyper Guard. I got me a pack of rechargeable AA batterys. One extra set on charger and the moment my light dims down i switch batterys.

It looks very comfortable. The only think is it dims very slow as the battery dieds so the human eye wont be able to tell as your pupil ajust to make up for lack of light. (I use mine in deep dark) so i switch my batterys every somany hours depending in what light out put set i have it. its like $16 box. And if it doesn't work for you can give it away!😁

I just got a 2018 lariat. The front and rear seats heaters are not working. All lights come in when you activate the heaters, and the cooled seats seem to be working fine. The heated seats will warm very slightly, but not get hot. Any ideas?

I think I'm having the same problem with my 16 explorer you can her the fans come on but doesn't heat up or cool down like the passenger side does..I just had it in to the dealer for other things and asked them to look at it and they just say it works...and to top it off the passenger side door locks stop working the day after I got it back from them...

Make sure you look under the seats where the motors are at and make sure the vents or the screens I should say are cleaned off

Neither one of my heated seats work. Every once in a while I can get the heated seat switch to light up once and that's it ! No bueno!

I have a 2013 and this is how I set mine up, I'd imagine it's in the same ball park. Using the control arrows on the steering wheel to navigate the little screen between the tachometer and odometer, scroll down to Settings> Vehicle> Remote Start> Climate control> Driver Seat> AUTO. Very convenient feature 👍

first of all its an f150.heated seats belong in luxury cars,not in work trucks.the only reason modern trucks have all this crap is because the automakers know some people are dumb enough to pay big bucks to have something repaired that they dont even need to begin with.whats next? a fan built into the seat to evacuate the air if you fart while driving?

As a customer, the most infuriating thing is the lack of communication at some places. I went through a repair recently, the service appointment taker didn’t communicate with the service writer, who didn’t communicate with the tech. I left there told a bunch of things, that ended up not being true. Just sounded very unprofessional IMO. Even at the management level, no communication and lack of courtesy to even call back.
