Never owned a bike, always wanted one, a 50-year music career kept me off the road. I love your tales of camaraderie, esprit de corps, and the brutal truth is what you offer. Keep on, don't run out of stories to tell, and thanks for posting here for us penniless bastids.

You still get up early huh, George? Good morning! 6 AM and posting. Thanks for reading my comment and for posting about my old acquaintance, the legendary Cisco. You got thousands of miles of tales to go - the Hells Angels gave earned a major chapter in American history during the most interesting time in this world (both good and not so good) and you’re a forthright archivist and a captivating story teller. Salute, sir.

Absolutely love how this one ended. Some people these days have absolutely no perspective on how old school gave birth to new school. I don't comment often on the internet, but this message should hit worldwide. It would do the world some good. People need to stand up, say what they need to say, and stand behind it just like this. This is exactly the kind of backbone that people have lost over the years. Thank you for displaying for todays younger generation what its like to stand your ground on something and mean it!

So.....what is truth ?

Too many ppl watch Sons of Anarchy. Being in a 1% club is serious business, and if "you aren't built like that" (to quote Sose), don't play around. There's a lot (most?) of 1%ers with bodies under their belts. About your stories, I'm loving them, and I agree, it's cold 6 feet under. They can take the heat. PS I'd seen the story about Rick going to his first meeting, but never realized it was Cisco who pulled the gun.

What some call " dry snitching", I call storytelling. Its an artform as old as human language , itself. The Angels have affected American history, not just motorcycle history. Its worth documenting and Mr. Christie? Let's just say that he suffers from none of the challenges of our current President. In fact, Id be much more comfortable with a President who's been punched in the nose and who's actually ducked a bullet. Teaches one that there are limits to your behavior. I live near the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation and spend most of my time there. There is no law. You have to regulate your own behavior. My Lakota friends are perfect examples of " outlaw" versus " criminal." I've seen them run the game warden off when caught red-handed. Simply by saying " Go talk to my Elders, but you aint taking this deer."
@wailnshred24 күн бұрын
It was their land originally. They probably need that deer to feed their family.
@ranchodeluxe124 күн бұрын
@wailnshred Still is their land. And yes. That's why we do it. I'm just the white guy with the truck and the gas money. Govt commodities are not processed well by a body wired for meat protein. Causes diabetes, hi blood pressure, etc. The Elders run the Reservation. The Tribal Govt and Fed Govt are largely irrelevant.The few cops that there are, are very selective about what they get involved in. The ancient friction between bands and villages is easily rekindled by meddling law enforcement and Indian cops, and their familes have to live in those tiny villages. Last weekend I was hunting and met a young Lakota kid coming out of the weed dispensary. As we talked, I asked him " what does your family do here.?" He said, " We mind our own business."
@wailnshred24 күн бұрын
@@ranchodeluxe1 I know it's their land. I meant the whole continent was.
@ranchodeluxe123 күн бұрын
@wailnshred Right. Being a fifth generation homesteaders in Indian Country, I try to steer clear of the politics of it and show love to my friends, most of which live on $296. a month by sharing what little I have with them and showing respect for their culture. The kid I met last weekend asked me to smoke with him. This is considered an offer of friendship. You never know what's in the pipe these days, usually not tobacco, but if you are asked to smoke, you smoke.

Man, it's a drag everything turned to shit like it did. In the 40s, 50s, mid 60s it seemed it was all about burning up the road, parties, good times, the Art of Cool and those personalites, Skip Workman, Doug The Thug, Buzzard, Gut, Terry The Tramp, Dougie Poo and so many more, hanging with Owsley, Big Daddy Roth, Big Brother, The Dead, Blue Cheer....That was when the legend was born........Then came all the dope dealing, double crossing, money, wars....You guys went from beatniks that rode choppers we all admired to these scary guys shooting, bombing, murdering, making meth, that a lot of people wanted to avoid..............It's just a sad deal where something about brotherhood, class, rebellion, individuality, Freedom, and fun seemed to go so wrong.
