Is it possible to get these one of these watches with a date function?

Hello, no unfortunately our basic pilot watches don't have a date function. But you can have a look at our navy watches like the models Valencia and Casablanca, which have the same case and movement and a date funtion. And we offer the models Genf and Zürich with a very similar look as the Aachen and Augburg, but with a quartz movement. But they have a date 🙂

Why are lugs on Venedig so different from these modern pilots?

Thanks for the question. The complete case shape as well as the lugs of the Venedig, as well as the other models from the "original" pilot watch line, are recreated from the shape of the 55 mm sized navigator watches from the 1940's. Laco was one of only five manufacturers which produced those watches in that time.

@@LacoUhrenmanufaktur Thank you. Yes I know about the 5 original suppliers... My question was more along the lines of why some fliegers have straight lugs and others curved. Stowa and IWC seem to make them only curved... And while I understand why Laco makes straight (history), I was not sure why Laco also makes curved lugs in otherwise the same watch. There is a lot od uncertainty about Laco lugs in forums and many people end up going for Stowa because it seems more comfortable/modern for them. I personally avoided such lugs in Bregues and only made the plunge with Laco because of the luminous dial. But I don't regret it at all. Really like my Venedig. I only wish that there was a way to maybe put a logo on it but this is a small detail I suppose.

@@almeladzeSorry for the delayed answer, as we see the comment just now. But maybe it will help others as well. We have the watches in the "Original" line, which have the straight lugs, like the original watches with 55 mm from the 1950s. The other pilot wtaches liek the PRO line or the basic line have curved lugs. They are more comfortable and ergonomic on the wrist, but they are not that authentic than the "Original" line.
