Lover's Leap was named after two slave lovers, Mizzy and Tunkey, back in the 18th century. Legend has it that their slave master fell in love with Mizzy and wanted her for himself. He arranged for Tunkey to be sold to another estate but the slave lovers fled to avoid being separated.

Man, why did they paint those tombstones. They should have let those tombstones stay the way they were, in their original color. If anything, they should have tried to enhance the original color of the tombstones. I used to wait at that spot near the gas station, to catch the bus to Maggotty. Boy o boy, back in the days. Great video, man.

The story goes she was traveling in acare full people and she wanted to fart but shame she held it in too long and it killed her. This story have been told to many years. A lady from my job went there and that was the story she was told. My grand father told me that story. He a lo so said a man and his donkey buried there not the lo lady. So what is the real story? Let's get the right story and tell the history. It is a historical landmark.
