As someone who buys games largely based on art (and who is a graphic designer myself), and hearing so much mention (not just here) on the 'beige', I wanted to add my pov. Having seen and played this in person, I would say first that the board is 'cream' and not 'beige' (there is a difference in the amount of black used, cream having none and beige having varying amounts). Second, the use of secondary colors for highlight is exquisite. The red, blues, and gold pop so beautifully off the subtle background. I honestly would not wish for a more colorful board. Also, I believe the designers were appreciating the color of music sheets and I appreciate that the theme carried over in this way. Color for color sake is not always the best choice. All my opinion of course, but I think the design is gorgeous. I'm curious, Stella and Tarrant, at what player count did you play? I played at four players and there was A LOT of competition for many of the actions: cards you wanted, where you wanted to travel, area control with the notes, end game scoring tiles. Many times I needed to shift my strategy. I found it to be be tighter than what you experienced.

Thank you for sharing that. It has a harmonious colour palette. At the end it made to my (Stella) top games of 2022 :) I cant remember what colour I used, but I tend to pick yellow. I used to play music so can relate to the clasiccal music. Thanks for mentioning all those. The competition in our 4 players game were mainly more the area control bit, and the goal cards towards the end of the game. The cards only sometimes, but not so much. Thank you for taking the time to write.

We test the game i bought yesterday , 4 players, and we like a lot ! Great production, great gameplay ( even if i saw double cards use in Revive for exemple ❤️ which i really like the game but its a horrible design ), we like many choices you have to make points, eeally intéresting and the theme os really unique, i think he can let a mark in boardgame history actually by his unique theme, gameplay is good and fun, making hard decisions, i think its a very good game, solid and fun

I bought this myself but not tried it out yet. It’s on a very long to-do list! I generally really like the look and feel of the game (even the beige suits it!), but I’m not a fan of long boards, especially if it’s designed in such a way that requires you to reach for things on both ends frequently. Maybe that’s a very “me” problem, but I have a cat that loves to sit on my lap while I play, and having to pretty much stand up to reach is annoying for both of us! 😿

Haha understand about the to do list. We also have someeee games 😉 Yes you're right about the long board, it's also a bit tricky to fit in the camera, without having some dead space😂 Haha that's fair about the cat. Hope you get to try and enjoy this game🙏😊

I played this with four players, two players on both long sides of the board (no one sat at either the top or the bottom). Everything felt very reachable with everyone having average arm length. Just offering a perspective having played. ;)
