I cannot believe that you saved footage of the “lost” 2006 season! I can’t find any photos or videos of 2006 Hopkins as if the season didn’t exist.

Paul Rabil is my favorite athlete to watch, of any sport. He is so clean with all his dodges and shots, you can tell he's practiced everything he does more than anyone else. This is a true champion

he can hit that bottom corner better than i have ever seen, he was at one of the camps i went to in ca and he did a shooting demonstration at lunch at it was amazing how he hits every single point in the goal

They do have the same set up, split dodge and shooting on the run down the alley, but they have different footwork. Watch their feet, Rabil shoots off of the foot on the same side the the stick is in while harrison shoots of his opposite foot. This is why Harrison jumps in the air a little when he jumps. A lot of people don't notice this but it is a big difference in shooting technique
@gim1000313 жыл бұрын
This is the best skill a midfielder can have. I wish I had focused on it more back when I played. Its actually several skills. You have to be fast, a good enough dodger to get a few steps on your defenseman, very strong lefty and righty, able to generage a strong wind-up while on the run, and have an accurate shot.

whip is a term used to say how tight your shooting strings r the tighter they r the more the ball will go down when you release it from shooting or passing

I can't say his style is the usual technique, but he does it like no one else, and people who copy the technique seem to have similar success.

@DJTrain1451 its actually veryy possible to do it.a friend of mine owns a hi speed camera and i ripped a few and you could see the shaft flexing.i also did it with one of the carbon composite shafts, and on the hs cam it flexes soo much it almost touched my back, then when you pull through it adds a shitload of torque
@x6xk1LLx9x13 жыл бұрын
@DeathizYellow either seems to work for me. i ussually do it with my right hand regardless of whether im shooting lefty or righty (since im right handed)

Paul Rabil is the most dominant midfielder to have played the game in the last several years. He is more dynamic than Kyle Harrison because he is more of a left handed threat and his fundamentals are much better than Harrisons. His size and speed make him so much more difficult to cover as well.
@DJTrain145114 жыл бұрын
"This one you gotta save....It's only going 81 mph from downtown" haha. 2:05-2:09 it looks like he's flexing the shaft on his shot.

true. but you only fadeaway to gain separation. you gotta lean hard back into the shot to get your weight behind it. we have a disgusting sophomore who isn't particularly strong and makes a very similar dodge and shot and it rarely fails. he does a stepback/fadeaway etc to get his hands free and leans hard into the shot to get power. he's very good
@zShinannigansz11 жыл бұрын
i dont know how he got so much torque out of his shot and it didnt turn him around on that last game winner. he kept going like it was nothing. best shooter on the run ever.

@poolpopper every game takes skill and requires practice in order to succeed and if you compare baseball and lacrosse baseball is harder and it is boring compared to a fast paced high action game such as lacrosse Both games take skill and are equally tough but in different parts of the game though

ha not to be a downer because i believe that PR is absolutely amazing, but that first shot is not a good example of how kids learning the shot on the run should try it. Most kids dont have that much whip, and also he went off his back foot. either way, can't argue with results :-P

In the "it's only 81 miles an hour" clip, the Duke goalie would've made a save but he tilted his head sideways. I don't play goalie so I don't know, maybe tilting your head a bit side ways is the proper way to save a shot. Not being a smart mouth.
