Not strictly true - both Lacuna Coil's first EP and Evanescence's first EP were released in 1998. I've been a fan of both for most of those 20 years and I don't get the "copying thing" either. Karmacode and Shallow Life were a little too commercial for me overall (still enjoyed them though) a bit like The Open Door by Ev.

I love both Evanescence and lacuna. I don't think lacuna is trying to copy Evanescence. They have little bit of similarities because both bands are inspired by the same genres . It's just like saying symphonic metal copying each other which is not true and dumb.

This song hits on a whole different level. The worst part is.... we were photographers for Eluveitie on one show during their Ategnatos tour, and Lacuna Coil were opening. They all directly smiled at us, Richard even replied to all our ugly faces. And Christina oh my she was the sweetest singer I’ve ever met. But back then we didn’t know them and didn’t give too much attention. You can say we regret it now. We’ll make up for it next time.

I have Schizophrenia. I had my first delirium 2 years ago in the spring .. I was alone at home and I thought my neighbor was watching me from below through the wall and he was telling me what to do, I could hear voices and listen to music ... and I was still checking in the kitchen to see if I hear there too, if he comes after me and I kept hearing and I thought he was reading my mind .. this for 6 months I happened to have this delirium and I was just sitting in bed and I slept day and night, I didn't do anything .. I didn't understand what it happens but stubbornly, I didn't even say what i lived to my loved ones.

Delirium reminds me of being intoxicated when the world moves slow and is shifting. Also, this whole album was their best work since Karmacode, my favorite album. Dark Adrenaline was a good close second until now. Karmacode, Delirium and Dark Adrenaline. I hope they keep this direction up, Lacuna Coil have just been getting better.
