Great answers and I like very much how decided you are ableto answer "NO" on things you do not want to do, Tyger! I have one small aspect to add to the best helis size for beginners: After starting with an M2 and flying and crashing it for 2 years I stepped up to an M4. I remeber the first spool up: when I saw these two blades in the length od small swords turn and heard the sound of the motor it was quite intimidating. Because of being so curious I did this spool up in my rather small backyard. But even when I was was on the big field I was slightly scared and it took me quite long until I was "brave" enough to do things I was doing for a year with the M2. Repair costs, but as well the possible bigger danger of this flying chaisaw was probably on my mind. But yes, the 400ts are easiar to fly. Not nessecary to land. I found that they tip obver much "easier" on not perfect flat ground than the small ones with smaller rotor diameters. Best greetings and as many a possible happy flights in this coming autmn!!

Absolutely correct advice and quite right to mention it - yes, ideally the M4 or a 500 sized heli should only really be spooled up in space that is accommodating and if you can, with someone else! Hope all is well my friend.

Well done, especially on the best beginner size, we are on the same side: 470-550 by my opinion. The FBL topic would worth a longer discussion next time, when we meet again. Where we slightly disagree, that's the best helis. For me: XLPower 550, T-Rex 600 ESP (the old one) - but as you said: all of them have their own styles and strengths as well as their handycaps. And where we completely disagree: Full scale best helicopter: Mil Mi-24V Hind (or Crocodile - Крокодил, Locomotive) and strictly the "V" variant - (I'm a bit patriotic, and V stands for Vengriya (Венгрия)(Hungary in Russian) which was developed for the needs of the HuAF (Hungarian Air Force - Hungarian People's Army back then), later on this became the export variant of the previous D which was modified as a P variant later (the most visible difference is the machine cannon on the side instead of the machine gun in the nose). But these are personal preferences.

Yes pal - the MI-24v is an awesome machine - I fly the Mi-24p variant in dcs world (I reckon you'd enjoy that) and the KA-50 as well as the Mi-8 HiP. Been so busy lately I've not had chance to scour but see you, Tonci and now Dani are as ever, being the most supportive of this hobby. I admire your commitment pal. See ya soon Peter.
