Enjoyed your Ladakh Essentials - well done - thank you for the information. I am in California and have been looking to do the motorcycle trip in September and reviewed many moto tour companies - but there are too many riders ( 12+) in most tour companies. I rather go in much smaller group or solo. I now lean on going solo but i know the benefits of a group but following mother duck in a long line of bikes doesnt look that appealing to me : ) I have gotten wide range of prices for motorcycle rentals, mostly higher than what you show in this video - can you share with me the site with the rentals? Do you have a tour company you like? If i were to fly in Leh a few days to get acclimatized and rode as far east as Umling La via Pangog and then also as far west as Kargil and south Zanskar Valley how many permits would i need? or just check all the boxes : ) and or have the rental company help? Do you think the rental bikes are good enough? Thanks for the info and again good informative videos

Did the trip in 2016, didn't need ILP in Ladakh. Also ladakh is a dry cold desert. It barely rains after rohtang pass even in monsoon season.

Can we go demchok with general environment recipt? Do I need any special permission from LEH?😊

Yes you can. Because now there is no Inner Line Permit. You pay the wildlife fees, there is no restriction and if you go via Umling La, the road is fantastic all the way till Demchok until Sep 2023 when I went last.

Thanks @veerpat5331. I'm glad you found it informative/interesting. You can choose either the Indian railway or private logistics. I choose Indian railway because, I travel by train from Chennai to Delhi and it is more reliable to book the bike as Luggage on the same train that I am traveling. With general parcel service or private logistics, the number of days it takes to be delivered in Delhi becomes very dicey and often there are delays. Please stay tuned, I will be posting a video exclusive on bike transport shortly.

It should be good to go, going by what happened in the last few years bro. Last 3 years the first snowfall was in November. But still be prepared for snowfall. It is always wise to go through the Manali side and come back via the Srinagar side. Because it would be extremely difficult to cross Baralacha La once it snows.
