LADAKH DIARIES | ROAD TRIP | DAY 1| SONAMARG-WAKHA | 4K VIDEO

We embarked on a thrilling journey through Ladakh with the Golden Eagle Expedition, beginning our 11-day adventure from Srinagar, traversing through Ladakh, and concluding in Manali. Gathering near Dal Lake, Srinagar, our expedition kicked off with a scenic drive to Sonamarg aboard a tempo traveler, covering approximately 80 kilometres. Arriving around 6 PM, we eagerly anticipated the next day's adventure.
Day 1 dawned with us gearing up on Himalayan Bikes as we set off from Sonamarg towards Wakha. Our route took us through the iconic Zojila Pass, towering at an elevation of about 11,575 feet, renowned for its rugged beauty and challenging terrain. Along the way, we paused to pay homage at the Kargil War Memorial, a poignant reminder of the region's historical significance. Our journey culminated in Wakha at Nunkun Camp, Shargole, Kargil, where we were greeted by the tranquil surroundings that marked the end of an exhilarating day's ride.
