pretty bloody dangerous to be ascending up with black out symptoms wouldn't you say? Anyway, this makes me far more confident about attempting this peak next August. Still looks very difficult, and certainly treacherous. How should I train for this?

Considering 10 being the highest, I will rate the summit climb as '7'. Summit day climb takes 7 to 9 hours to reach the summit and 4 to 5 hours coming down to the base camp. Total of 11 to 14 hours of Trek at 50% Oxygen utilization between 17k to 20k altitude :)

All the 'Trekking' activity to Stok Kangri ends by the last week of August....snow was falling during the first week of August when I visited last :) City of Leh gets covered with atleast 5 feet of snow by Jan....
