Ladhak has some of the best skies for astronomy because of its low light pollution and dry climate like in Atacama desert in Chile. Clear sky with lots of stars visible. Thats why the there is an astronomy center in Hanle with multiple telescopes and obervatories.

Bonjour Pierre! A visit to the eastern state of West Bengal during 1st October to 6th October is a must, as there is one of the biggest festival in India taking place during that period. The festival is Durga Puja, and its a 5-10 days celebration of worshiping the Mother Goddess, and West Bengal is the best state to be during Durga puja as they celebrate it like no other place. Please don't miss it. I am humbly inviting to the celebration and to my state. And I have never heard anyone saying 'Black Top' for paved roads in India. May be I am wrong, but I think they call it 'Black Tar', which is much more common here.

Bro stay a couple days in Tosh Village which is the last Village in Parvati valley, only a few kilometres away from Kasol. Stay in Pink Floyd cafe as it has the best view and best food. I stayed there for 3 days, those were the best days of life.
