I have some Armenian roots, I'm Aramaic originally, and i'm absolutely proud of Armenia for this. I predicted Ladaniva to respresent Armenia like 3 months ago and been a fan of this band for the past 2 years, im so glad Armenia picked them and this song couldnt have represented Armenia in a better way than any song ever could. This is what ESC is about

The song does a slight stress on women rights as here we like saying: "close this part of your body show this part instead" or "behave like a girl" and she rsponds to that "No matter, what people say, I'm gonna dance, and you're gonna watch!" And the song name is from her name "Jacqueline - Jako"

The girl singing is Jaklin Baghdasaryan. Jako (the name of the aong) stands short for Jaklin. The group is quite famous in Armenia, it is a French-Armenian musical group and their songs are very popular in the country. About the song Yes, whatever is shown in the video represents the culture of Armenia and it's how the country is lol (cuz some were asking if it is staged for the music video). The lyrics is not translated but I'll provide a literal translation You'll like this! ↓ They tell me "Jako, behave yourself" "Don't talk too much", "don't sit silent for too long" "Wear this, open it, close it, behave like a girl" I'm a free girl, I'll dance and you'll watch! Come, come, come join me Anyway we don't care who says what Again again and again we won't pay attantion to the time Come on stand up dear, stand up and dance That's it, I hope you liked it!🇦🇲

I love this song as Armenian but most people in Armenia and some even outside don't like it. They think it's not good for Eurovision but I don't think so. I believe it's very ethnic and modern at the same time

Regarding your question, which is asked in the video, I will answer that, unfortunately, a certain part of people in Armenia think that the song is not successful and has nothing to do with Armenianness, moreover, they think that the words in the song are few and meaningless. But all that unfortunately, because I, being an Armenian, think that the song is very good, gives people a dance and mood. The song is about a girl who is tried to be forced to live by traditions, saying that she should dress modestly, etc., but the girl finds that she is a free person and can do what she wants and invites people to dance with her. I think it's wonderful. 🙂🙂🥰🥰🥰
