His prosetic arm allowed him to do many things the rest of the kids could do, but there were so many little examples that were so difficult for him. And he still had a perfectly functional hand. This girl had to go through life without even that yet has such positive energy. Astonishing.

She was well-raised and she's not stupid. The future will bring much better limbs and she knows that. At one point she will have no deficits at all anymore and it will even make her more attractive to a lot of men (or women / or both) because the bionic arms can look really cool and futuristic. Personally, I always feel sorry for people who simply miss a limb with nothing to replace it, because it unfortunately doesn't look good. It's one of those cruel realities of life. But I don't feel sorry for her. The arms already look really cool and once the transition from bionic limb to actual skin doesn't look bulky and unnatural they're close to perfect. Design is equally important as functionality.

My buddy keeps making cool very easy to swap out attachments to his. He has a drug problem with speed , just takes tons of uppers. Hes pretty violent too but he's a good guy he and his wife run a bussiness with my brother and only was arrested twice for assault at work. It's always awesome to see people faced with dire circumstances flourish like Tilly. She has embraced her situation and makes it a part of her. Also it's awesome to see small businesses pop up who want to make devices such as these arms to help other people. Tilly is going to go far, I think.

Is so amazing and inspiring to see kids being resilient, strong, self aware in a positive way, and I must say, for me, especially young girls. I'm 33, I think I wasted too much of my youth caring about strangers' opinions, and is so refreshing to think that new generations are caring about their inner support and also about positive feedback

"High IQ" the majority of people are on the autistic spectrum. I wouldn't say high IQ. I'd say, the withered remnants of a human after the experimentation of other humans. Speaking of which the covid vaxxed gave up their rights so I'll be taking your paycheques if you're vaccinated. I'm 100% serious. Find a way to message me. Human body is both resilient and fragile, there's no way to tell with absolute certainty if a given person would respond positively to treatment and recover. The opposite problem also exists, where people are kept on life-support and painkillers for extended periods of time when it's obvious that they're not making a recovery. Medicine is complicated and full of very hard decisions

The NHS are unfortunately very good at that. I’ve been told that I won’t make it twice, yet I’m still here… but having to fund private treatment unfortunately 😒 very sad for those not able to have this support from family/ friends / strangers 💔

This is what is called the “survivorship bias”. Essentially what it means is that those who survived tell the story but those who didn’t obviously don’t, creating the illusion that all people with a “0% chance” of survival made it, while in reality it could be 1 in a million or worse

Wow I admire her so much, she's so intelligent and well-spoken and confident, she is going to have such a bright future!! I am so happy for the miracle that she survived that illness as a baby! I can't imagine how anyone would look strangely at her or pity her. When I'm watching and listening to her I just want to learn about her experiences, and I'm so happy that she's having less negative and more positive responses! The only time I felt that sad sympathy was when she was talking about her family rushing her to the hospital etc because I am sure they were on pins and needles to say the least. So happy for you and your family to have connected with this prosthetic company and be making such a positive impact in the world! Amazing! God bless you guys!! 💖

It's amazing the technologies that come out for disability assistance. I remember a few years ago I saw a documentary where a man suffered total blindness. The docs and scientists helped fashioned him a pair of glasses that had a camera on it whose wires could be plugged into a port in his head where brain surgeons did a lot of work rewiring his optic nerves. It wasn't perfect, but the man could actually make out solid shapes through a black and white dot array.
