Brilliant stuff, thanks. I’ve lived in the manor for 50 years and have seen a lot of changes. Glad I knew the area before a lot of the redevelopment. Great pics & info, Cheers

Great video. I did a similar one (but less informative and polished) around the same time to record my memories of living there in the early sixties.

Going down the stairs from Ladbroke Grove to Southern Row always felt like going through a time warp. It's been tarted up like the rest of the area but back in the 70's it was still moody. There used to be a tiny hole in the wall cafe next to where the florists now sits on the corner of Lancaster Road where John Christie used to eat, Rillington Place was just a short walk away. My Nan worked with Christie at the civil service, she said he was the most nondescript person you could have ever met, who knew!

One thing I didn’t address in the video is that down those steps (East Row) is where I originally come from though my family moved away soon after I was born

Hello Thanks was a very informative video. Loved the maps at the beginning. I saw on one of the maps Worrington street which is where my grandfather and family lived until 1912 when they all came to Canada. I have visited the street but their house is gone now, replaced with houses from the 70s. Have you ever seen a picture from that street from the 1900s? Take Care Chris and Sandra of Canada.

Not that particular street but there’s a really good Facebook group called Old Notting Hill and North Kensington History. They have many, many old street photos
