We've been sitting on the edge of our seats the past few days, beyond excited to share this new product launch!! Between the van & the junkyard, we've been quietly completing the CyberBike Video Guide to help DIY people build their very own electric motorcycle! We're nervous, overwhelmed, giddy, and proud of all the work we've poured into this new product, website, and invention! Please feel free to ask us any questions in the comments below, and let us know if this video brought any joy to your day :) Thank you all for your endless support. We are so grateful!

I'm a long time admirer, liker, and subscriber of your work and your channel, but first time commenter. Are you sure??? This mechanical chain based transmission (full dust dependant, lowest reliability etc) is too primitive to consider this crap cyberbike... so brilliant! Modern notorious electric scooters are far smarter! Check for some amazing genius russians who already made it even 4 years ago!! You do not reinvent the wheel!.... Did you hear about Direct Drive BDLC motor in Wheel ?? That is the real future and the only brilliant! No chains no mechanical transmission, maximum torque at any speed starting from 0 !! With also native energy regenerative like ABS brake included by default that most of electric scooters already have it today since yesterday!... So think it smarter and better informed about!
@LaurentiuGavrea3 жыл бұрын
Hey this could be amazing if not based on that obsolete primitive mechanical transmission based on lowest reliable component as chain is! Highly sensitive to any dust, average cumulated polution or friction altering etc. Do not you heard about Direct Drive in Wheel based on those genius BDLC motors that already widely used in lot of electric scooters today since...long time ago?? Modern E Scooters based on alike direct wheel drive all have maximum torque at any speed and also regenerative brake by default with no extra "cyber" design!...I usually run 2 drives scooter (2 x 3600 W !) long time ago designed by korean Minimotors ...that still today far surpasses any of this cyber(?)bike performances. Mine has no mechanics issues no chains not even mechanical classic brakes... And because of that it is ten times more portable in any circumstances since it has half of the weight of this cyberbike as no extra weight for mechanics. Cyberbike should be radically redesigned as getting much better inspiration and real performances from these already notorious BDLC direct in wheel drives used by many electric scooters since years ago!...

I think this video works on many levels. Nothing sells better than visual excitement using the product, especially to men. Women are more imaginative where men react to visual stimulation. You were able to present examples of every technical aspect of the bike without going over our heads. You had clear and beautiful professional looking photography, especially the drone shots!! Making use of color has incredible advantages, like the rims. The colors you chose just screem “LOOK AT ME”!!! All in all I thought it was an impressive demonstration and speaks directly to anyone who is a DIYer, someone who already has an interest in motorcycles and of course “tech-heads”..Frankly, I was think of how you could make a Touring model..LOL Great Job!!!

I've always loved your bikes and the latest is even better. As someone else mentioned, these are not street legal and it would be amazing to look into how to accomplish that. Even taking them overlanding I have no idea what customs and imports would have to say about them. Anyone have any ideas? I'm in the US but curious on thoughts globally. As you and Margaret have mentioned I want to use them to run in for groceries or scout the area and then just for fun on dual track off-road. ❤️
@ARepublicIfYouCanKeepIt3 жыл бұрын
These are all great points. I don't think customs/border protection would have anything to say about the bike. However, if it's not a pedal-assist e-bike, it must be street legal and properly permitted (and the rider must be properly licensed). This is the issue that would run one afoul withe the authorities on a grocery run. Use on private land, or in the back country is the same as an ICE dirt bike, ATV, etc. Homologation requires all proper lighting and safety features, including ignition, lighting, etc. After all that, there's insurance. Personally, I'm looking into the process of building a custom vehicle, then permitting it, obtaining a motorcycle license and securing motorcycle insurance.

From a motorcycle rider perspective this doesn’t look very water or dust proof. How are those 3D printed panels sealed around the frame? even with rubber all round, how is such a flexible frame water and dust tight to protect all electrics inside? Maybe Ladi can shine some light on this?
@ladiandmargaret3 жыл бұрын
Side covers are sealed so battery is protected. Under the seat is exposed controller filled with compound - completely water proof. Charger from the bottom is sealed and 3D printed door has drain holes. I wash the bikes with pressure water. Don’t worry, we think sometimes 🙃

Great stuff and really tempting. With such power (27KW), it would be considered as a big motorcycle in the EU, but I luckily have the adequate driving licence. But what about registration? Thanks in advance for sheding some light on that (important) topic that might likely refrain many people to place an order.

Interesting concept, selling it like this! ;) I think for many people it's a deal-breaker, that they aren't legal in most european countries like UK, Germany, Switzerland.. Do you have thoughts / plans regarding this, Ladi?
@jsvensson82343 жыл бұрын
There is nothing Ladi can do about it other than getting it registered with every individual countries road authority as an e-motorcycle. But then all riders would need a motorcycle drivers license to ride it anyways and that puts this bike in a whole different market bracket, which I doubt Ladi is aiming for (I could be wrong but man, that's a big headache to take on). The easiest thing for anyone to do who wants to ride it legal is build one, register it as a DIY-motorcycle, get the drivers license required, and ride on. That way, the liability is on the rider, and the process, although not totally uncomplicated, is faster for everyone.
