First of all! Happy birthday to your daughter!!! Now, I am calling B.S. on Ol Dougie boy. Coming from a jeweler, his claim of his Plain Jane 18 carat gold band being worth $10,000 U.S. is absolutely laughable. Not doubting it is heavy, but figuring that on the EXTREME high end of weight, IF his ring weighed two troy ounces of 18 carat gold, (not only would it look ostentatious, it would be very uncomfortable to wear) the cost of just the gold is only $4218.00 U.S. Sure, there is the jeweler cost of fabrication. At the most you'd be looking at around 5 grand total. So, Doug either: A. Got ripped off. B. He acquired it from the estate of JD Rockefeller. C. Doug likes to stretch the truth...a lot.

Thanks Mike👍it is a crazy amount for a mens wedding band. the owner is a wealthy person and after speaking more with him, he did state the ring was from America made by a custom jeweller, this is where the cost is incredibly inflated. people are willing to pay the big bucks for something made specially custom. i personally have a $500 wedding ring and even that I find expensive haha 😂 see you on the next hunt💦💍👍
