Is that spool design on the Fierce 3 the same as the Battle 2 or Fierce 2?...I'm curious because of the line lay.

I like how the PENN Fierce II and the PENN Battle II’s looked better! But to be honest, I would get this PENN Fierce III Reel still. They upgraded the performance; I would get this reel if I didn’t already have my PENN Fierce II’s... AND MY EYES SET ON THAT PENN SLAMMER III! (I am purchasing a couple of the PENN Slammer III’s soon and pairing them up with a PENN Carnage II Surf Rod and a Shimano Terez Spinning Rod). I like all the mini hole design in the PENN Fierce and Battle 2’s. I am Glad I have 2 PENN Fierce II’s! I got my 1st PENN Rod & Reel Combo in the 10 ft paired with the PENN Fierce II 8000 size reel. I spooled 300 yards of 80lb Spider Wire braid on that reel ALL OF IT FIT PERFECTLY! (I paid $109 for that one at Cabela’s. The line was I think $30. $140 total is a Good price for the performance) And then I got a smaller PENN Fierce II Rod & Reel Combo. It’s the 7 ft rod paired with a 3000 - 4000 (I forgot exactly and it’s in the trunk in the car and I don’t feel like getting it) size reel and I have about or over 125 yards of 30lb Spider Wire spooled on that setup. That smaller PENN Fierce II cost me about $90 I think at Cabela’s. I forgot how much the line costs. I got the Big PENN setup that I use for the Big Fish, and the smaller setup for that finesse work / smaller fish! I love them both and the Red & Black 🔴⚫️🔴⚫️🔴⚫️🔴 color on both of them looks REAL COOL! I have gotten a few compliments on how nice my 2 Fishing rods look from our other fellow anglers / fishermen. And THEY PERFORM JUST AS GOOD AS THEY LOOK! PENN is such a Great Company! PENN & SHIMANO are MY 2 favorite companies I go to for my saltwater fishing needs!

Yeah… I just purchased a PENN Fierce III 5000 for $89.00 at Walmart and I paired it up with a 8 foot 2 piece collapsable Berkley Big Game Power Series Spinning Rod ($20 - $25 dollars at Walmart) and I went to Cabela’s next day and purchased 300 yards of 30lb Suffix 832 Advanced Superline AND I FUCKING LOVE THIS SETUP! It’s my jack of all trades setup; this and my Ugly Stik GX2 7 foot spinning rod combo I purchased at Cabela’s ($49.99). Spooled that one up with 300 yards of 20lb Suffix 832 Advanced Superline. I wanna put a PENN Fierce III 5000 or a PENN BATTLE III 4000 HS (High Speed) reel on it. Just gotta figure out what the heck I wanna do. The Shakespear reel it came with is… a very good cheap reel. I like it.

Hello, will it work for carp and grass carp fishing. greetings

hrmm..im debating this reel or the thunnus 6000..
@tunanorth4 жыл бұрын
This reel is substantially lower in price than the Thunnus series. A more comparable series to the Thunnus from PENN's lineup would be the Slammer III series.

I got one, I messed around and went peacock fishing with it, that reel can hold a 5 pound fish in the air like it’s nothing

2:04 Oops, drag was set loose
@Ladies-Lets-Go-Fishing5 жыл бұрын
The drag is loose intentionally when the Live Liner is set, then drag is in the pre set drag when the reel is engaged.
@Ladies-Lets-Go-Fishing5 жыл бұрын
The drag has to be looser when Live Liner is set, then drag is in the pre set drag when the reel is engaged. It's for live or dead bait.

Can the 6000 fierce handle a tuna
@Ladies-Lets-Go-Fishing3 жыл бұрын
Sure depends on how heavy a regular tuna fine but for a hundred pound tuna you may need conventional reel

@@Ladies-Lets-Go-Fishing you think it will handle a 60lb bluefin tuna?
