Was sat in the front row when Preston, Jon Gomm and Andy McKee jammed this baby in Glasgow last year. Genuinely one of the funkiest pieces of music I've ever heard.
Amazing playing! I remember when it was the "Michael Hedges style." I first saw him in 1981 opening for Will Ackerman and George Winston and he mopped the floor with the other (excellent) acts. I thought his guitar was going to fly apart! I'd never heard of him, I was there because my girlfriend wanted to see Winston and I felt like I couldn't walk afterward, like I shouldn't talk to anyone, just sit and try to process what I had just seen

Who wouldn't enjoy in this great stuff. This song is going to swirl throughout my head whole day. It is like 4 instruments in one (drums, solo guitar, rhythm guitar, and bass), which is impossible thing to do, but not for this guy. Many of us were just kids when he was killing it, and that remained unchanged

A very talented young guitarist that I've gotten the pleasure to know over the past year named Quinn Leach often plays near my shop in Blue Ridge, GA. The first time I heard him play, his style reminded me very much of yours (I'd worn out my copy of Instrument Landing back in the 90's). I talked with him and his father tonight while he was playing a set and found out he had gotten the chance to learn from and play this song with you recently at Andy McKee's Musicarium. He's always been amazingly talented and excited about his music, but now he's newly inspired and reaching even further with his technique after that experience. Kudos to you, good sir, for not only being an extremely gifted musician in your own right, but also for inspiring and mentoring the next generation!
