Hopefully you understand that the original Twin Peaks was as deep a tragedy as can one can mine from our times. I'm not sure if Lynch suggested Laura was a victim of incest but it would explain her dangerous behavior which lead to her murder. THE SWEET HEREAFTER also deals with a broken young girl and matches Lynch's deep empathy.
