LADWP Education Programs & Science Bowl 2019

This 30 minute t.v. production showcases the LADWP Education Programs and Science Bowl which help students develop skills, especially in STEM and skilled craft careers, for the utility’s and city’s future workforce while also providing them and their families with up-to-date information about environmental topics so they can make informed public power choices now and in the future.
The show outlines several of the LADWP education offerings including the CEEF Environmental Teacher Institute, the Los Angeles Times in Education Program, the LAUSD Academic Decathlon Training Program, Adopt-A-School and tours to historic Power Plant 1. The show culminates with the LADWP flagship education program - Science Bowl. Aired is the complete final round of the 2019 regional competition between North Hollywood High School and Francisco Bravo Medical Magnet High School.
