That opening clip with Greta laughing and embracing the spontaneity of the scene just about perfectly sums up my own experience with directing. It's a fluid, organic, often joyful process--at least, when you're working with the right kind of people. Man, I love watching her work. She's an utter inspiration.

And also in the tag there was an answer to a question that change every day so they get to know each other. For example I saw a pic of her directing with the tag Greta and Breakfast at Tiffany's, to answer the question: what movie you know you should like but you don't? That was a suggestion from one of her crew members i think :)

it's so nice seeing a woman direct. i'm a film student and i always feel like i have to take on a more masculine version of myself on set when directing or whatever. it's nice seeing that you can be a woman on set and still be effective and make beaufitul scenes with meaning. seems obvious but seeing her direct is just so inpsiring. wish i could tell her in person
@user-vc5rp7nf8f6 жыл бұрын
i thought the same as well. you always see directors being very serious and orchestrated, but with greta, she's kinda spontaneous and very collaborative with the people on set. she doesn't seem pushy, yet still has creativity and focus when it comes to what she wants. i can see why people like working with her

There was gold all throughout that cast. Ronan, Metcalf, Letts, Feldstein, Hedges, Chalamet, and if that's not enough, let's throw in Lois Smith and Stephen McKinley Henderson as school personnel and, with just a few minutes of screen time each, give them some of the best movie scenes they've ever had. Kathryn Newton and the actors who played Jenna, Miguel, Shelly were perfectly cast too. It seemed to be a movie everyone loved being part of and wanted to make special.
