I loved this album, it explores a country side of Gaga which scratches such a unique itch for me. Also friggen Florence is on this which makes it even better. I enjoyed the video, good work on editing too!

@@LydiaandJessiePlaylist I just think the message is so nice and simple and resonates with me a lot personally. I interpret “just another day” more as an optimistic outlook on the future being better as opposed to it JUST being “another day” in a depressing, monotonous way if that makes sense. Like I take it as even if you’ve had the worst day imaginable it’s ok because it’s just another day and tomorrow’s on the horizon and thing will get better. The guitar bit is so amazing and the saxophone playing the outro is so beautiful to me and reminds me of Edge of Glory (another favourite) it’s all just so sweet and subtly emotional and truly feels authentic and is a fantastic closing track for my favourite Gaga album.

I think too that Perfect Illusion is about her relationship with Little Monsters. It was during this era she really quit social media. During BTW she literally was the queen of Twitter. That’s how I’ve always heard the song at least lol.

I feel like that's the main meaning of the song tbh, the music video reinforces this theory, on top of that Million Reasons' video is a direct follow up to Perfect Illusion (as her response, she's willing to keep going for those fans that have supported her since the very beggining no matter how much she transformed), John Wayne was also a 3rd part to that and while the song is unrelated lyrically, she killed her "The Fame/BTW" version on that video, as a response to all the "fans" that demanded her to go back to that era endlessly, all while maintaing this feeling that'll she'll always be the crazy Stefani/Gaga we met back in The Fame, just not stuck in the same style forever, this also is shown in the song itself, it sounds a lot closer to "the old Gaga" than the rest of Joanne, but it's still not quite the same, it still fits more Joanne's vibe, kinda like she's teasing those people, so yeah the 3 singles videos (and lyrics on the first 2) are all about her relationship with her fans, think about it, it was around the time that she barely ever called her fans "Little Monsters", as well as her interviews being more focused on herself rather than her fans like they used to be

My top 3 are Dancin in Circles, Diamond Heart and Angel Down. Are you maybe also planning to react to Cheek to Cheek, Love for Sale and A Star is Born soundtrack? I know that C2C and L4S are just covers and not everybody likes jazz music, but these albums show Gagas versitility really well and her relationship with Tony is so pure and beautiful. When it comes to ASIB again these songs aren't about Gaga, but they were still written by her and they're all amazing. I just think that the Gaga journey wouldn't be complete without these albums. Though I still kinda understand and respect the decision to not include them as they technically don't count as studio albums.

My favourite songs off this album are John Wayne, Dancin in circles and come to mama (as it makes me feel loved and listened too even if I’m not)! I also live Hey Girl and don’t know why it has so much hate 😔 I also think the filming in Birmingham was for A star is born (which you should listen too) as she does a performance in the movie and the Joanne stage and air balloon platform things (don’t know what they’re called 😂) are in the background

Come to Mama, Hey Girl, Just Another Day, and Angel Down definitely don't fit in with this album AT ALL, although I do think Angel Down is a good song. Come to Mama and Just Another Day sound like 70s sitcom music, and Hey Girl just sounds like a remake of Bennie and the Jetts. I typically like how she puts together albums that aren't necessarily consistent, but with a concept album like this, they just don't work. My faves are definitely Million Reasons, Diamond Heart, Grigio Girls and Dancing in Circles. Also the piano version of Joanne is by far superior to the album version -- and it's actually the version that won the Grammy, since it has a different title. Overall, Joanne is my least favorite album from Gaga by quite a large margin, although I don't think it's bad in the slightest.
