In my opinion... and ain’t nobody asking... this is the greatest Disco song of the young 21st Century. It is one of the very few true disco songs that does not arrive at traditional disco by retro-Disco emulation or trope reformulation... but by an entirely modern concoction. I remember when I first this, I almost had a heart attack... it was religious. The promises of the choruses like “Poker Face” were realized into a forever Disco masterpiece. (And you also proved this with your smash ‘80s workover, which slipped seemlessly over a straight 1-2.) Excellent massage of the tune... love it. But, I could listen to Venus 678,495 times in a row... so sometimes I am not sure what my head adds to the whole wavescape. 😆
