I have been a music fanatic since the age of 5 and I'm now 45. I grew up in the 80s and was blessed with the sounds of Early Metallica, Ozzy, Motorhead, Megadeath and the whole hair metal Era. When my wife dragged me with her to see Lady Gaga perform on her Born This Way tour I was anything but anxious to go. It just didn't appeal to me. Or so I thought... after watching her perform live, I developed a whole new appreciation for her talent. And to this day I still tell people the story of how I reluctantly went to see her concert and how it turned out to be one of the best concerts I had ever attended. Since then, my respect for her, both as an artist and as a person has grown tremendously. The entire Joanne album never gets old for me. Thanks for keeping it real!

When this song came out in the 90’s I was like “Who the hell knew about the darkest days in a depression that I thought would never end. October missile crisis, JFK dead , civil rights movement, MLK dead, RFK dead Vietnam war. I never thought I’d make it out alive. Now we are here again and the crying disease is trying to make a comeback. My climb up that hill a little bit slower but that little demon will never get me, I wait her out cause I know the crying disease can’t kill me, it just slows me down a little, but never fear I comeback swinging. Thank you Lady Gaga and 4Non Blondes for reminding this old lady how far she has come.

Once upon a time, Gaga wrote a song called 'Fever'. She could sing it, fine, whatever, but she felt like it was suited for someone elses voice. As soon as she became "famous" and Adam Lambert came on the scene, she gave the song to Adam, feeling like it fit his voice better. For those people saying 4 Non Blondes version is better, you have no idea what the intention of the song was. The lyrics clearly say, "I SCREAM FROM THE TOP OF MY LUNGS..." Linda might've wanted it to be belted this way but just didn't have it in her to perform it that way. She praised Gaga for this version, so obviously she liked the intensity and rock-ness Gaga gave it! There is a reason artists do renditions of others' songs, to put their spin on it and deliver it the way *they* interpret it!
