Remember when cops used to just drive drunk people home? Don't they realize it's actually less work to do that than getting someone to pick them up, waiting, and having to deal with them in the interim or eventually taking them to jail?

@Noneofyourbusiness2000 And then what, though? Is she in any condition to care for herself? Once they're on scene, they're responsible for ensuring her safety. They can't just taxi an incapacitated person from point A to point B and kick her out the door. Few people realize that many disorderly/public intox arrests have nothing to do with punishment. These arrests are the stopgap solution for people who clearly can't care for themselves but don't meet the criteria for a medical hold. It's far from an ideal solution - but it's the only one that's available.

Not too happy with how you guys handled this one. One of you said we will just drive her home & then another said not much going on tonight, his sounds like a job for the new recruit - so you waited another seemed like 30 minutes for this new recruit officer because you thought it would be a good idea for him to get this training!!?? Really!! You could have had driven her home by the time he showed up. Then we hear you say, yes she's thrown up 3 or more times & you kept telling her to sit on the gravel. Why not the grass? And not one of you offered her water to help sober her up? I mean if you're gonna make her wait that long because of a choice you made, at least give her some water !! This seemed to be one of your easier calls for the 10 of you officers that showed up, but I feel like you made it a game as time went on. She wasn't even disrespecting you guys like most videos I see. Like I said at the beginning,I'm not a fan of this video. I'm disappointed. I appreciate all of our police officers & respect what you do .🙏✝️🩷
