What a beautiful soul? She is symbol of true Indian culture. She is MOTHER INDIA. She is our adopted grandma. Today is Father's Day.Grandma we bow to you with respect and touch your feet for your blessings.. Her longevity can be due to many factors. She lives simple life, no big city pollution, access to mostly home grown organic food. She uses few tools for cooking. My mother used to cut( Saron da saag) mustard which looked like broccoli rupini with that Daat called in punjabi. Granny uses that tool with precision and accuracy. Her reflexes and eye sight is still sharp. She talks to folks around her with command and authority. Good health and good luck granny.

Granny is special and this is a wonderful way to honor a living legend with tremendous culinary skills. Rustic yet sooo delicious. Each dish is painstaking prepared with the most farm fresh produce and beats some of the restaurant quality foods I eat in the USA. Keep it coming - I'm enjoying following her recipes.

Granny strikes me as being fairy like. She seems very serene. There are no " picky eaters" or kids who don't like vegetables. That child ate each morsel joyfully. No junk food. Thanks, these are soothing to watch.

Sani Talba I think when she cooks, it is a reflection of love for the family. My grandmother wanted to cook every now and then to treat us and she did that until 104 years of age. Of course she is revered. Grandmother is very much happy to see everyone enjoy her food.

Ricky Tan we eat those curries with rice or roti which doesn't have any salt. So the salt in curry makes up for both. You must have noticed that she mixes only little curry with whole lot of rice. It's a way to fill tummy in a delicious way, as most can't afford to fill it in a nutritious way.
