When you first see the mother and daugther, you can also see that the guard is looking at them occasionally. When the nother goes to put the note in his boot, she hesitates, and says something, and he gives a nod so subtle you can hardly see it. (He also moves his right hand, possibly gesturing to the boot.) She puts the note in his boot and then he says something to her. Then he spends a few seconds looking at the note now in his boot, then again, gives a subtle nod to her. That's at least what I saw, I could have missed something or made a wrong observation.

The little girl, being wiser than her mom, hands it back .... like, "do it yourself mom." Lol the little girl did not have the note until her mom gave it to her in hopes she would deliver it. The little girl even makes a little noise in protest to the mother. Very foolish mom. You can even see her try to make the girl take it .... are yall blind??? I’m not a big fan of bits, used to ride mine mostly without…but it’s more to do with how it’s used if it’s properly fitted (which these are) and as you can see the reins are mostly completely loose. Horses will play around with the bits if they are bored, but in this situation it’s not painful or uncomfortable. It’s actually what is called a double bridle, with two bits in the mouth. If the rider was jerking on the bits it would hurt the horse.

At least the majority of the people in this video kept a respectable distance away from the horse. It is stressful enough for the horse to have to stand quietly for a period of time with the large crowds talking and milling around them and noisy traffic going by on the street. Just as the soldier is on guard duty, so is the horse and now is not the time to be distracting them from their job by trying to get close to touch them. Would you go up to a police dog on duty and try to pet it? I think not. I'm actually really surprised that the people are allowed to get as close as they are for their own safety. A warning sign isn't going to do much to help you when a horse spooks and tramples or kicks you.

That is traditionally where girls put notes: in the boot. They usually have things like phone numbers, and best hours to call.

What does it mean when a horse throws his head backwards while in reins? Is he uncomfortable?
@Mustangsinfinity2 жыл бұрын
Could be, but most likely bugs and/or bored
@cindyp98572 жыл бұрын
@@Mustangsinfinity bugs?? Don't they have medicine for that? What's the attention span of a horse standing there for hours? That must be mind-numbing and hard. I've never been around horses so I welcome anyones' comments and educational experiences.
@Mustangsinfinity2 жыл бұрын
@@cindyp9857 No problem! Hope this is helpful! The bugs are just like if you or I were swatting at mosquitoes or flies, not to bad. There attention span for standing depends on the horse and the age, but honestly it is only an hour, and that isn’t too bad. They switch after an hour
@cindyp98572 жыл бұрын
@@Mustangsinfinity so these horses are there for about an hour? It looks like it's more. Lol

@@cindyp9857 Yup! As far as I understand, an hour or less!

The parents who push their scared or fearful young children up to the horses, should be escorted away from the horses and given a stern warning, even a police citation, for the dangers they’re putting their children in.😡 Everyone should know, you don’t approach a horse if you’re scared or uncertain about horses. Plus any fast, jerky movements can be sensed as a danger to a horse and this will tense a horse up. But what pisses me off the most, is that everyone thinks a horse likes his nose, muzzle area touched. If that were so, tourists wouldn’t get bitten by the horses. Just as NO tourists would try to “pet” any strange dogs noses, nor put their small children next to any unfamiliar dog or any other animals they don’t know. Horses too, truly don’t like the “muzzle” petting by strangers. It’s like if you walk too close behind an unknown horse or touched his rump to tail area, you can’t be surprised when the horse kicks back and hits his target = you!😂 ya idjits!
