That is great to hear, I've been wanting to watch this since Quinton Tarantino made a few references in kill Bill. I've loved his movies and it will be interesting to see what has influenced him.

半世紀も昔に「修羅雪姫」があったとは。 リアタイ世代なんですが全く知りませんでした。 「さそり」もそうですが、復讐に生きる女を演じると天下一品ですね。 梶芽衣子さんは。 にしても歌がいい。 「怨み節」 「命日」 ぐらいしか存じ上げませんでしたが、幸せに見離された美しい女の哀愁が見事です。

Yes because Tarantino is a talentless hack. He has never made an original idea of his own, every single film is entirely stolen from better made films. The bore fest Reservoir Dogs? Total rip off of a 30 minute scene of the 1987 Hong Kong film City of Fire. Kill Bill 1 & 2, total rip off of this.

This movie is literally what gave him the inspiration to even become a film director, this is no secret as he has stated so on multiple occasions. Also, it is fair to point out that many japanese movies (such as this one) got their "inspiration" from old American movies. So it is all a give and take.
