Does ANYONE know where Frost P and/or Zuz went? I was playing this in 2006 I think? So glad I had half my friends in the UK and was turned onto some good stuff! My friend here was obsessed with this for a bit. He MC’d over DnB. Still sick!!! I’m American/English and lived the best years of my life (personally) there in the late 90’s to end of 2000 and moved back 2008 to go into the industry. There’s so much talent there and I dig the difference in this and US rap at that time! (I was all about East vs West, it’s what I grew up on!) If anyone knows where to find the guys today let me know. From what I can see they’ve all but disappeared!

SonVinyl is not that off though. British rap and even American rap does owe a lot to Jamaican toasting (the style of talking over music going back to the 60s) to its style. You an hear it, in particular in the style of delivery of British rap. Sheisty, definitely reps this style. And anyone who knows about dancehall know a lot of female Jamaican DJs use Lady in their names (Lady Saw, Lady G, etc). Going back 25+ years.
