​@@EdwardLawPhD Sorry (not really), but that's ridiculous. Ladybeard left Ladybaby on bad terms in 2016 and only returned for one last song in 2018 as a personal favor to longtime leader Rie. As noted, he has his own gig you can support. So does Rie (reuniting and performing with Rei). LB 3.0 was a VERY tight unit to the point Rie would not restart Ladybaby again unless Emily, Nana, and Fuka came too… impossible due to Emily joining Passcode.

Idols don’t start off perfect right away; Sakura might be the most experienced but she still hasn’t been active in a group for a couple years and her old group in HEROINES didn’t have much screamo. So please be patient with the girls. since LADYBABY is functioning like a modern idol group compared to previous iterations, they will be growing as they progress in their careers. Also Remember: they’re doing smaller live gigs in various venues in Japan a lot more now too!

Exactly. Sakura is new to screamo but based on the live recording from 4 weeks ago she already sounds better than Ladybeard ever did (studio engineers have to process him A LOT to make him sound decent). One thing that's been true for every version of LB is rapid improvement onstage -- you and I both know that LB-3 was pretty rough when they debuted, even Fuka who had experience in another unit, because it takes time for a group to gel.

Great performance.. But I still can't get passed the use of the old name..with an all new crew... And now doing the old music too? I really feel like it should be.. "LadyBaby Reborn" Or something.. Cause deep down.. I feel like.. no matter how awesome these very talented girls are.. LadyBaby to me is a Weird Crossdressing Growling Wrestler (LadyBeard) and Rei And Rie. It's the one thing I cannot get passed. The Originals are LadyBaby. This is great.. and I'm very happy it exists.. but doesn't feel right calling them "ladybaby". Hence maybe.. "LadyBaby Reborn" or "LadyBaby: The New Generation" Something to differentiate the two as no original member remains. Or even LB2 sort of like how people refer to BTS.

@@latenightramen89 I reread the translation of management's statement from November right before they revealed the new lineup -- apparently they DID think about a rename since Rie isn't there, but they chose to keep it, mostly because these girls will be singing the old songs (plus the brand recognition doesn't hurt). It's the Suits' right to rename or not, of course, but it helped that Emily and Fuka publicly support LB4.

Y'know it's a big contrast seeing live vids of REIRIE compared to LB-4 -- years of stage experience vs. fresh Idols with little or no past work

I picked the BRATS influences and Rei looks happy too! Hope they'll make more music together now on. Yeah is like comparing a full developed athlete with a beginner but I'm so glad to have 3 different projects, each with it's own unique "flavor" instead of non of them (LadyBaby, REIRIE, BabyBeard, BRATS)

@@tom_r1 I think the haters are remembering the Ladybeard era through nostalgia. Ladybeard wasn't that great. Some of the lives had backing tracks where Ladybeard didn't even have the microphone anywhere near his mouth. Screaming and growling doesn't always come naturally and if you don't do it correctly, bad things could happen. I think Sakura will get better with Emily helping her.
