It took a LONG time, but we sort of DO have emulation systems that can play that variety of games. It was a good idea, but not plausible with the tech of the day.

@@DeadKoby Oh, certainly, I just meant as far as multi consoles go, we had those two *now*. That said, I think the only real limiting factor, even back then, would be production costs. Other than that it could happen.

So it looks similar to the Linx Vision gaming tablet (which Microsoft released ~20 years later) but conceptually like a Coleco Chameleon. No wonder it failed

Oh god, the moment I heard the "imagine a new game per week for a year" I had my suspictions of what it might be like; then I heard !Action" and immediately thought, no way, actually Action52? Lol

I wasn't sure what's the name of the pportable boogleg game console which didn't get the production rights, but after seeing the middle of this video, the name "Action Game Master" rang bell for me. I remember I watched a walkthrough series about Action 52 NES games from a hungarian KZbinr (SpaceNinja88) and his latest video he said the similar facts about the plans of the Action 52 game developers. There was a fan initiative that would have included much better versions of the NES games featured in this video. But unfortunately Action 52 OWNS was not fulfilled more than 5 years ago .
