There should be an inquiry into why the comptroller hasn't stepped in they should be held accountable too

It's not that safety measures are not in place, they were just ignored. and/or bypassed.. This is what happens when you put unqualified individuals in key positions. My hats off to the Dolton trustees and Thornton Township trustees Mr. Gonzalez and especially Ms. Carmen for trying to best represent the citizens even in spite of push back from some of those very citizens. Sometimes doing the right thing is harder than falling in line with the easier wrong.

Fully agree with you sis! I get that they couldn't follow through with the recall, because they couldn't vote on the mechanism - which Illinois didn't have yet - AND vote to recall in the same election. So, by the time they could recall the election would arrive anyways... But what I don't get at all, is given all we're seeing in Dolton, with all that's being brought to light through the Lightfoot report and investigation, why hasn't the Township board found a way to temporally suspend her from supervisor amid these allegations? Every day she sits on that board as supervisor it puts the other 14 municipalities at risk of this affecting them too. And we're already seeing it. She's always talking about this "surplus since I got here, because I'm bringing in grant money" - which never materializes. In fact, the township is running at a 3.6 million deficit, but just like in Dolton she keeps lying about this phantom surplus, counting money they don't have - and likely never will because grants require audits to ensure funds are spent properly - which they haven't done in 2 years. If any township board member reads this: history will not look kindly on your group for failing to act while Tumor-Tiffany's corruption enveloped Dolton like a cancer before your very eyes. She should be suspended for the sake of the township while these investigations are ongoing, and not allowed to return unless those allegations are proven false. Some may say "but it's innocent until proven guilty, not the reverse" ... and I agree, but being suspended with pay while these investigations are happening is not a guilty verdict. It's a safety mechanism, same as we do with police shootings to prevent a possibly reckless official from affecting anyone else.

Lori Lightfoot has established a good raport with the accounting firm that are supposed to have received all the invoices (but hasn't received them). All she has to do is ask them to prepare a reconciliation of each and every supplier account & request copies of any invoices not on their Suppliers ledger. Its nothing short of what the audit would want to see. Tiffany wont be able to interfere because she has stopped paying the accounting firm. The next thing will be to go through each invoice & identify who placed to order; what it was for and who approved it?

Thornton Township has failed to submit their required financial documents thatbwere due February 2024. Henyard still has not responded to the state Comptroller in either community. Henyard lacks any moral compass. Dolton had a very competent financial manager. Some say thatbshe realized things were going south and located another job. She then went part time in December 2023 and left employment with the village of Dolton in May 2024 under circumstances that have not been fully explained. Some have said she is fully employed and has expressed concerns about loosing her curry employment over the mess Henyard has caused in Dolton.

Can you tell us about the stand off between the Dolton cops standing off between them and. Lacy with the mayor and her boyfriend .?

She didn't handle the credits cards she said so herself she had her minions do it.Example a man buying beauty products and thousands of dollars worth of wigs.

The courts will look at who requested the expenditure (i.e. was it the card holder or someone else "using the card" or where they instructed to place the transaction). Then they will look at the actual item being purchased (i.e. a wig) and ask was this a legitimate & wholly necessary expense for Dolton Village expenditure or was an item of expenditure that benefited a particular person or group of people. Then finally was this expenditure approved by the Board of Trustees or was it kept hidden from them? I think we all know the general answers to all these questions it's just the details that have been hidden or destroyed from the Village records. A completely futile attempt because answers will be provided.

@@sharonjuniorchess The Township is paying for PR firms to represent Henyard, that seems to be an expense that is not benefitting the Township, it only benefits her. This along with her possibly not being able to hold both position because of conflict of interests, is mind blowing. She has not brought before the board in Dolton any permits for the Township to hold events and she certainly has not discussed reimbursement for using Village services and facilities.

@@MrEt4740 She is going to struggle to find anyone who authorised all this expenditure other than herself. She can hide behind her telling others to place the order or make the payment but at the end of the day you are right. One has to ask "who benefits" and how can she account for who got what? I suspect the Bingo club only got a fraction of the prizes that were "bought" whilst the rest were either given to her cronies or sold on ebay for cash. Not to mention the alleged kickbacks from tree trimming services.
