while I watched his Idol run A Change Is Gonna Come made me follow him ever since. the boy was feeling - and conveying - it.

Even back then- Adam’s composure, emotion, and stage presence were off the charts! Plus his outstanding vocals! Thanks for this reaction as always!

Three of my favourites from his idol run, as Paula (I think) said, it wasn't like watching a competition it was like watching an Adam Lambert concert every week. He was so far ahead of all the others in both voice and stage presence, crazy that he didn't win but he won his career so it all worked out in the end.

He's become my new obsession lol. He got a big shout out today by Mia Farrow and Nancy Sinatra for The Show Must Go On documentary and being the best singer out there. She even tweeted his Who Wants to Live Forever at the Isle of Wight.

Adam, Adam, Adam ❤️ I've never said a man's name as much as I say or type his name. He's something 😍 What blew my mind back in 2009 when he was on American Idol, every single week he came out singing his face off and dressed the part! He's hot as hell and sexyyyyyy with a killer voice. What more can a person want? Oh a great heart? Yea, he has that too!

You heard him do Whole Lotta Love at the concert. His performance of that song on American Idol is the sexiest performance ever to hit the idol stage. I’d dare you to watch it but I have to warn you, you’d probably get pregnant with twins 😂😂😂

That's my guuurrl! You sound a little hoarse yet. How you still have a voice is beyond me! Hate Idol but they produced Adam so they got a pass from me. First season I watched after a friend told me about "this guy." Idol never was able to have another bigger season. The fact that Adam didn't win turned the audiences off. Ratings continued to slide. Adam was lucky to escape the Idol machine that stifles careers. These 3 performances show Adam's versatility. No cookie cutter or auto tuning for Adam!!!!!🥰

Lady Luck, I fell in LOVE with ADAM LAMBERT during American Idol and have been a HUGE fan ever since ! I found you while googling his performances and I love watching your reactions and hearing your comments, so glad you've discovered him because he is jaw-dropping amazing!!! I just saw him live in Orlando FL on May 1st and again, hands down such an incredible performer and so great live! His killer vocals, connection with the audience and let's not forget how freaking handsome he is to look at...I mean come on, I can't even handle it!! Not even fair! You should check out the video of his guest appearance on The Late Show w/James Corden for the "Battle of the Queen Front Man." Our boy Adam hits some notes in there that are 10+ seconds long...need I say more! Thanks for posting!

A Change is Gonna Come. The way he sang it sounded like a loud wail, a lament in the Blues with a Rock vibe, Adam's style. Sir Anthony Hopkins was in the audience, also Katie Holmes was trying to cover little Suri's fragile ears. His powerful voice with its crazy ranges is exceptional when you hear it live. A change was gonna come for him.

Adam was head and shoulders above all the others in Season 9 of American Idol. Every song Adam performed had his "star quality" stamp on it. The only judge who was honest all through the series was Paula. Randy was a close second, pointing out how "READY" Adam was to launch into his career. Kara, initially of the opinion that Adam was an "over-the-top stage performer", finally came around and became a huge fan of his. The only reason Adam did not win that season was because of the comments made by Simon Cowell, who said what he said and did what he did only for ratings (Adam's reprised version of "Mad World" in the finals was actually better than when he first performed it earlier that season, but Simon's comments suggested that it was disappointing and too theatrical. That was all that the masses of intolerants watching needed as an excuse to vote him out! I really wonder what Simon actually thought of Adam then, and what he thinks about Adam now, with him being the front man with Queen, and having a hugely successful and growing compilation of albums to his credit. I am immensely proud of all the American Idols that have had successful careers - Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Carrie Underwood, Clay Aiken, Kellie Pickler, David Archuleta, Phillip Phillips, Scotty McCreery, David Cook, Chris Daughtry, Jordin Sparks, Kat McPhee. You could argue that Carrie Underwood has had the most commercial success, and all praise she has garnered is justly deserved. But the one contestant that has certainly developed into the iconic star that American Idol contestants hoped to be is Adam Lambert. To be the lead singer for one of the most iconic rock groups in history (and doing so without disgracing the memory of Freddie Mercury but, rather, keeping Freddie's memory alive for new generations of fans), along with writing and performing an ever-growing catalog of his own music, is a testimony to how great a musical genius and what an enormous talent Adam Lambert truly is!!!

If I Can't Have You was WAY, WAY TOO SHORT!. The full studio version is floating around YT and it's magnificent. During Cryin' the t-shirt he's wearing is a Queen t-shirt of his. He has two other versions of A Change is Gonna Come on YT. One from the Zodiac Show which is very theatrical in appearance, and then he sang it during some of his Glamnation Tour, like his Nokia shows in LA
