LL you got a new sub! Morissette's new EP is stunning. Especially given that she co-wrote it with her husband and this is her 1st crack at recording her own music. The bottom line is Morissette needs an incredibly strong team in the US to push her. She is trying to climb Mt. Everest as an independent artist and its a tough slog. I give her all the credit in the world for doing as much as she has done...given Covid, financial constraints etc. Morissette is a world class singer/artist!!! If you react to Phoenix, I recommend her live performance with the band.

Hi LLC, There’s another Morissette original sang in english titled You and I, she performed it at wishbus. Similar song do not as high as play time, looking forward to your next reaction. Btw, you may want to look at and watch her orher original sang in tagalog. My KZbinr friend is a rap songwriter and wanted to know if Morissette had any originals and a commentator have him a list of songs she worked on with her husband that he's gonna react to. My friend said "who goes to concerts to hear an artist do just somebody else's covers?" People come to hear your songs, not someone else's.

These originals are far from being ignored. They are just new. And she’s done about 4 new versions of each of them. They’ve done very very well globally. Morissette is a journey. No matter where you start from it’s still not a bad thing to have older performances suggested for viewing. Some of them are quite iconic and as a new passionate Mori fan you will love them too. When I first viewed the (visualizer/lyric video kzbin.info/www/bejne/gorLZYCBotGdrJI ) version, I said this is the song for decades. Simply the best new song I heard in the last decades. It's lyrics are precise and hit strong, it are wisely describing the fight of us human kind with us as a person. It is a summary of a lot of questions we have to face in live .. and to be clear: everyone has to find his own answers. In addition to that outstanding meaning and depth behind the lyrics, her vocals are out of this world. This is about self-empowerment. If Beyonce came out with this music, it would be topping the charts worldwide even though she doesn't have the chops to pull this off herself as Morissette did. I do have to correct you on your video title. Morissette is and was never under-rated. She's just not as well known as her Western counterparts. That's all. Everyone who hears her for the first time knows she is not your average vocalist. I don't even think she's on the top of the iceberg. Morissette is on another lever in another league all on its own.
