Great video! I just got tape extensions and everyone told me not to use shampoo with oil in so I’m surprised you used the moroccon oil shampoo😩 I’m confused, I don’t know what to use

Hello there - I’ve found the advice in the past from various outlets all over the internet to be conflicting and at times kinda overwhelming. Not sure how you sorted yourself out in the end but I found using Davine Oi shampoo to be pretty good with tapes or Redken high rise shampoo too. For me the consistent advice I’ve seen was to make sure to go for a sulphate free shampoo. Mane and tail do a pretty nice sulphate free one. And dry shampoo is going to be your best friend!

Does it have to be a hydrating shampoo for the extensions? I have super oily hair and if i use a hydrating shampoo it will be oily by the second day? What should i do in this case?

Hey Sweet Potato, Thank you for your question. I would always recommend using a hydrating or moisturising shampoo/conditioner to keep your hair extensions hydrated, but in your case this type of shampoo might be too heavy for your natural hair. I would recommend using a light Sulphate free shampoo - Schwartzkopf BC Bonacure and use a deep conditioning/ hydrating conditioner such as moroccan oil but use this only on the mid lengths and ends of your hair extensions and avoid your natural hair. I hope this info helps xxx

Hey Ellie, thank you for messaging and sorry to hear you’ve been having a problem with your current hair extensions. I always recommend clients to use sulphate free salon professional products that are hydrating and nourishing to your hair extensions. Products such as Moroccan oil Hydrate Shampoo & Conditioner or Evo The Therapist Shampoo & Conditioner are perfect for cleaning your extensions and adding deep conditioning - both are also sulphate free. I would also recommend applying a Moroccan oil morning and night to add hydration to your hair, as Hair extension Hair is not attached to a scalp, therefore doesn’t get all the nutrients your natural hair does from your body. Applying the oil morning and night to your hair extensions will also help keep them soft and nourished. If you are doing all this and your hair extensions are still dry I would recommend buying premium quality hair that will last a long time. We sell LADYLUX Human Hair Clip In Extensions on our website and the hair is amazing quality - feel free to check it out. Hopefully this helps and you can get your extensions healthy again. Xxxx
