Hi! It’s my daily video catch up (well, at least one of them - still plenty of time to catch another later!) and I enjoyed this one. I see bits and pieces in almost every video , but so much of my childhood and life is in this one! The turquoise and brown coffee pot in the very beginning at 2:10 was something I saw almost every day since we used it as a water pitcher. My parents had an entire set of dishes that they picked up while we were on vacation in TN (may have been KY?) in the 60s at a pottery we stopped at. They were HEAVY and, as a child, I hated the dreaded words, “Could you set the table for dinner, please?” 😂 it took so many trips from cupboard to table because I couldn’t carry many! After about 5 years, my mother packed them up and we were back to our old, beautiful Haviland or other antique sets she used for everyday! The Moss Rose patterned Rosenthal china you picked up is the pattern from my mother’s wedding china in 1950. The blank is different (I think you have a more modern incarnation) as yours has little raised panels around the edge and hers just had (well, has - it’s mine now) little scallops with scrolling around the rim. I believe it’s called the Continental Miss Ross pattern in the Pompadour shape. Those were the dishes of my childhood holidays and special occasions until my teens when she bought a set of the Wedgewood Kutani Crane pattern. And the Fostoria American snack sets! No party was complete from children’s birthdays to bridge club, to snacks with coffee and cocoa on cold evenings, to showers, to cocktail parties! Sorry to run on, but this one had so much of my early day-to-day life. Probably because my parents would be or would be just past the average estate sale age! Thank you! 💕

You know I am a "detail" girl! I spotted in the background, white dishes by "Johnson Brothers," made in England, Ironstone...my stepmother's pattern, which I have. ALSO, a RECTANGULAR glass tray in the glass case, which was embellished on the edges, I found unique. I also really liked the "tree necklace" and the French white dishes with tiny blue flowers. I have never heard of Farragamo Italian shoes. I also liked the colorful, stackable bracelets for summer. They could also be used around the base of small vases of flowers to add a pop of color on a table. I think the rodeo necklace was on point! Sorry for the long comment! I so enjoy your segments!!!

I would like to get a huge antique bird cage--thought I saw something similar but don't think it was antique. I am also looking for an antique or vintage wood horse. Love the chair you were sitting on at the beginning. That Occupid Japan, i have a lamp with that exact scene, not sure of the material but it has gilding, no bottom or any signs of who made it. The wiring is old but it works. I've had it for a very long time and it kinda drives me crazy with it's mystery so I'm glad I saw that set

I would hope that anyone who buys to resell from a charity shop, an item worth more than they paid for it and their profit is healthy they donate back to the organization some percentage of that profit. I am a person who appreciates a 'great find' but am aware that these stores are here to support the most vulnerable in our society.
