Which is ironic because comic Janet is not only a fashion designer, but also probably the superhero with the most expanded wardrobe in history. Heck, probably one of (if not *the*) biggest wardrobe of any fictional character ever. I swear, she practically changed costumes per issue and has at least 300 of them (some being better than others, obviously). And even more ironic, she's the only Avenger in the show who's costume is not based on *any* of her comic designs. They gave her a completely new look and never changed it, which somehow feels both fitting and unfitting for her.

Which is fine, but when it comes to moral implications of actually fighting villains and working for SHIELD, she’s the only Avenger who is straight up ignores any thought into that. Thus putting her at odds with Hank’s pacifism and wanting to reform villains. Not absolving Hank of any wrong doings in the relationship, cause he does the same shit to Jan. He doesn’t acknowledge or really care what Janet wants, and just solely focuses on himself or what he thinks is best.

One thing I noticed about this show is it implies Wasp is some kind of genetic experiment in this universe. Because Ant-Man has to use gadgets to shrink until he gives himself powers like her, and when Wasp is fighting Ultron she produces the growing pym particles from her own body. And that time Captain America compared her to Zemo's creatures. And how she was the only one able to hurt Doughboy with her "bio energy". And the way she mutated into an ACTUAL wasp!

Her dad summoned the Creature from Kosmos, not Hank. Hank wasn't even present, and had earlier turned down Vernon Van Dyne's request for Hank to collaborate with him on his experiments in interstellar communication. Hank wasn't interested because Vernon's work was far outside the scope of Hank's field of expertise and interests.

In the 616 universe in the comics, Hank mutates her with wasp genetics to have the wings (that's why in many comics or versions when she is mutated she becomes a real giant wasp), but she needed the suit and the pills with the Pym particles to shrink and had a bracelet to shoot darts that she used as wasp stings, after several years she evolved from exposure to Pym particles and can shrink at will and shoot bioelectric beams, being her own wasp stings. But this series having a start similar to that of the Ultimate universe, maybe Janet had her powers from birth because she was a mutant in that universe

This version of Wasp has such a fun personality that I was disappointed that the primary version we got in the MCU had to be the serious strong female character archetype because we already had that in characters like Black Widow and Gamora. Hell, Black Widow does more quips than Wasp ever does so in some ways they made the Wasp more serious than Black Widow. To me, the EMH personality of Wasp is perfect. It’s like Tinker Bell as a superhero. Very excitable and outgoing. Yes, I know the MCU’s Wasp is another version and is meant to contrast with Paul Rudd’s comedic take on Scott Lang but come on we can have the pair be a duo of dorks. Again, we had enough of the comedic male and serious female dynamic in the MCU at that point.

I miss EMH. It's easily the best animated Avengers property we ever got, everyone has a distinct personality that plays off the others really well, the women are allowed to be fun instead endlessly stoic and boring, and it feels like the comics come to life. Even in terms of things like Thor's relationship with Jane Foster. I love that she's a paramedic, because it makes for such an organic way for the two of them to meet and it makes sense that Thor would admire someone with no powers that still rushes into the fray to save people. It was so good!

I remember watching this show just vaguely remembering it, but it's one of those few shows that made a impact (Kinda like a "OH THAT SHOW! Holy shit, I remember that show now! 2 Different versions is all. Though Hope is the main Wasp in the MCU, and Janet is the one here. For all we know, she could've been like this before she got stuck in the Quantum Realm, but we'll never know. I prefer animated Wasp even just for her hair alone, but I'm glad they didn't try a copy paste with her attitude. I love the VA for Wasp, so at least right now we have her existing in a vacuum (though we did see Hope kinda become a bit more fun by the end of Endgame, shame Quantumania had her sidelined).

It appears she got exhausted flying after the tornado 🌪️ 1:05 Her suit is doing all the flying so I suppose she is using her core muscles to stabilize her flight.

Janet in the comics and this version never needed a suit to fly, her wings always were real, she only needed to drink the Pym particles to shrink but she envolved and now do it at will
