Thank you for your video, but mentioning the crime is like mentioning the plane could go down when a loved one tells you they are going to fly to you. It’s unnecessary since every major city has some level of crime. The audacity to recognize the injustice and gentrification that has happened to NOLA and leave out who is repopulating and pricing up the area that so many Black people built to create but can no longer afford. What else other than crime did the influx of population bring after NOLA? Surely the increase in population improved property values, the economy overall, culture, etc. WHY did the crime in Lafayette increase? What’s the root other than Black people moved there? Did hypervigilence go up and thus reports went up? NOLA Black disenfranchised people deserve so much more.

@@DrakeAbshireLivingInLafayette This is true, Drake. I lived in NO for 34 years and have been here for 4 years now. Lafayette has its charms, but you just can’t beat NO’s stellar varied architecture and genuinely unique culture. If you ever want to go to lunch or dinner, just let me know. I haven’t seen you since circa Halloween 2012. You were about to get into the boxing ring, as I recall. I’ve always thought you were a sweetheart.
