Very well covered, the activities that go on with the incident commander. Simply explained, easy to understand.

You guys should do more content like South Metro Fire Rescue. Their content is really well thought out and executed. Plenty of people would want to see LAFD and LAcoFD.

We would love to be able to dedicate more time to creating content however we do not have the staffing. Nor do we have those with the specialized training. We do the best we can and are grateful we have supporters who find it interesting and informative

Yes but South metro only have 30 stations and people to do this.

@@EricWhiteTheGamer they must have different priorities. SM certainly have built a reputation for professionalism which may help with future recruitment.

My heros! Especially #62! Saved my house after arsonists set fire to our garage. Unfortunately, the owners of 60 years decided to level the property. But I had lived there on that property for 28 years. The only house my son lived in from birth to 20yo. Love all of LAFD! Now living in Vegas (not by choice) but love coming back home to see the best there is!!

Interesting explanation for what an LAFD Battalion Command Team is & does. LAFD is a brilliant department with a long history of tradition & service. Stay safe from the UK.

Does LAFD have any mass casualty vehicles? I know the county does but I’ve found zero information on city.
@nigelwilliams36164 жыл бұрын
@@hornydevil1117 perhaps the LA County provides their Mass Casualty capabilities as part of the mutual aid LACoFD/LAFD provide each other?

I grew up in LA and worked McCormick Ambulance with LACo, eventually becoming an FF myself out of state, so somewhat familiar-ish with LAFD terms, but yeah, the specifics of Greater Alarm vs Major Emergency Structure Fire always eluded me, this makes it a LOT more clear and understandable. It seems there's a basic initial response (1st Alarm equivalent), additional companies for Greater Alarm sounds equivalent to our 2nd Alarm, and Major Emergency with 15 Companies is essentially a 3rd Alarm for us more or less (Every alarm used to be 3 engines and a Ladder, then a few years ago they changed it so one of the engines from the 2nd Alarm is now on the first, but they put a Rescue squad in that spot, so now it's 4 Engines, a Ladder, and a BC 1st Alarm, 2nd Alarm is 2 Engines, a Ladder, Rescue, and 3rd and subsequent Alarms are all 3 Engines and a Ladder (unless IC asks for something else specific)... so how does that compare to LAFD basic initial alarm building fire response? I've seen 2 Task Force's and 2 Engines plus BC and RA before, is that accurate?

Could be a EMT A... not the focus a paramedic sometimes provides. But good point.
