If not cheque fraud, funds might be proceeds from card or online fraud, and in case of investigations recipients of fraudulent cash can at times be flagged.

Hey Abel ,The account number story they actually deposit money in your account but not the actual amount and then they ask you to check your balance that's where the scam comes in I think the moment you put your pin or password when checking the balance they somehow know and swipe everything in your account

Na mind you cheque inafaa kumature in 3days so zile 2 days before wanakupressure uwaskumie dooh only for it to bounce, either juu ilikuwa fake cheque, ama account ilikuwa ilipe ni inactive ama haina pesa.

No They actually send you money yenye wameosha from account ya mtu so that when investigations zinafanywa they lead to you na just like that unaingia Kwa ngori kitambo ujitoe wueeh utakipatapata .Ama alternatively they don't even ask wanadeposit tu alafu wanacall they tell you wametuma by mistake so wanakuambia uretain like 5k for the inconveniences alafu send them the rest Kwa a number that they provide...ukishafanya hivyo mwenye alioshwa doo akicomplain Kila kitu inalead to you my friend utakipatapata.
