The music coming out of this man’s head sounds like how Iceland looks on photos and videos. Majestic and powerful, yet peaceful and still. A true son of his nation. Bravo. 🇮🇸💙

Superb performance by Olafur and his fellow musicians. Also, a video of the KEXP sound engineers talking about their recording approach would be awesome, the work they're doing is outstanding.

It's interesting...in a good way, as to how many people need this kind of quiet, yet raw and peaceful honesty from Olafur's music in their lives. There's something very real and honest about what's in this guy's soul, and the magic involved with turning it into a piece of music that can bring people to tears. Fantastic...

Never had the chance to listen to his music and now that I do, I notice its highly derivative, his first theme is straight out of Max Richter, I think one of his lullabies or maybe his theme for the Inbetweeners. the second theme is very VERY reminiscent of The Fountain soundtrack in 7:28 and 7:55 that jump he does over his hand plays the same notes as you could for First Snow on piano, I know this because I learned that piece, he lifted and just skipped a few notes. You can also listen to the start of Death Is The Road to Awe its very similar. the similarities stop right after tho.

I would say that there is more to him than this vid would suggest...may I suggest listening to Woven Song or Ekki huggsa ( I think it is called)
