"So Far" is just the perfect expression of what I feel every single day.... I'm depressive, I'm desperately looking for someone to take my hand and pull me from the dark inside me, to tell me that the suffering is over, that I'm not alone anymore... But this "someone" isn't coming. And I feel so tired sometimes.... I can't see any bright future, any new, perhaps even happier horizon. I'm only 16 but this is what I feel everyday. And music being my therapy, "So Far" helps me a lot

I've been there, in a very dark place when about your age. Hard to sum up in a few words but avoid negativity as much as possible. Try to appreciate the little everyday pleasures in life if you don't already. Music is a good start. For me it wasn't helpful listening only to dark or sorrowful music. Try making a playlist starting with something like this and gradually moving to brighter songs or empowering songs, of any genres, further down your list. Whatever helps lift your mood and about 30 to 40 minutes is probably enough. At the same time I used to take a St John's wort capsule every day. Some find prescribed drugs work better but they didn't suit me. Just trial and error but I'd recommend trying the natural remedy first if you feel medication could help. Also try to do at least one 'useful job' every day, however small a task, as its good for self esteem. Get as much fresh air as you can going for a walk or cycle ride...maybe join a club doing these or other activities where you can meet others. Change is good eg try cooking some different meals, even if only simple ingredients. Think about new hobbies or pastimes or courses or jobs you could do. And use resources other than just the internet such as your doctor or local library, where you should be able to get leaflets and maybe advice if you ask. Best wishes, J.

It's weird how perception can be totaly different. I started read the comments because I was curious and I was suprised how many people here looking for this song because they are hurted and this song help them go trough it. Trust me, i feel you, i've been on dark places too, but god, I found this song peaceful so much and always looking for it to enjoy hapiness and have feeling like "there is nothing bad, sad, dark". I come back to this again and again when I need peace of mind. Then memories of my late dear father who passed away on the 1st jan this year comes to my mind. This allows me to cut off the chaos around and be in the memories with him. Painful but it is what it is. Miss him dearly 🙏🏽

So powerful. So beautiful. So open to interpretation. This feels to me like a song for my heart, my soul, my son - who was stolen from me after he told people about abuse by (the same person). All authorities failed us so so terribly, then became abusers by proxy. My sweet sweet Mama’s boy was alienated & brainwashed so easily to ‘hate’ & ‘fear’ me by the one person I would never ever dream would do this to our child (as he himself had such a traumatic high conflict childhood that I thought for years my love, loyalty and pushing for professional help could heal). From the first day he was kidnapped to now the 2,674th since he’s been home, it has felt worse than death over & over again. At least with death, there’s room for moving on, for healing, people understand & empathize, you have faith that there’s no more suffering and a place to go to “visit” with passed loved ones. Everyday without my son it feels daily like an unrelenting prison of grief. Only fleeting moments of joy. I thank my ancestors for the unknown strength to go on without him, yet barely surviving the traumas we’ve endured by those who were supposed to protect us. Not a day goes by without thoughts of my boy, his happy face, his hugs, his singing, his cries, his joy, his curiosities, his pure positive potential, how much he loved me, how much we laughed. So much pain & loss no mother & child should ever suffer as if it’s Berlin 1933, not the good ol USA w/ a 14th Constitutional amendment that’s supposed to protect us.
