I lived in Nigeria and 2 years and REFUSED to drive while there. It just seems impossible lol. I commend all of those who aren't afraid and have the patience to!

The light-rail is being built as we speak. I believe the first route should open this year.

@Eztini that certainly is a misconception. The first time(according to the report),there would be a collaboration between government and the private sector in easing transport problem in the country,

Lagos State governor creat a modern urban transport system, prohibits danfo buses and tricycles to circulate in Lagos City. Arrange adversiting of bus stop, establish bus stop sign and map transitway

@statictech7 - I asked because Nigeria is NOT a poor country. Its natural resources are oil and natural gas (37% of 2006 GDP), tin, columbite, iron ore, coal, limestone, lead, zinc. Nigerians need to get their act together. Nigeria is just one of many African countries that hand over control to the World Bank. I dread to think of the interest they're paying on the bank's funding.

this actually not effective at all. It is similar with busway or transjakarta in Indonesia but I don't know maybe the implementation in there is better.
