Lagos is beautiful with an expansive landmass more than most capital cities in Africa. What these other cities do is concentrate their high-rise buildings in one area and make it look as if it is better than Lagos. Take Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire, for instance. Have you imagined what Lagos will look like if the whole high-rise buildings in Victoria Island, Eko Atlantic City, Ikoyi, Lekki, Apapa, Ikeja and Lagos Island are aggregated in one location? Nigeria likes to spread out the buildings in her cities unlike some African countries that like compact metropolitan city designs.

This is Lagos and indeed tell largely about other towns and cities in 🇳🇬 Nigeria. But the West and Corporate World, through the mainstream media, do not want the World to see the image in their selfish interest. So negative narratives are put out there (insecurities, Makoko slum, hunger, poverty etc), to discourage visits and investment. Unfortunately, this is aided by some Nigerians, abroad and at home, through their utterances about the country, actions and inactions.

It amazes me how you can capture these amazing parts of African cities yet other youtubers don't seems to see them.😂 Nigeria is the giant of Africa for a reason. If Nigeria weren't building over 70 towns and cities not including villages no country on the continent will come close to Nigeria in development.Saying that,l don't necessarily see high rise building as a sign of development,l would rather love to see good infrastructures, clean environment and a country that works.l hope lagos takes this development to other parts of the city,Apapa, surulere,Yaba, lkeja not just the island.Thank you mate!
