OMG! That video stirs up beautiful childhood memories in me. I was just 6 years then, but it is the lush innocent Lagos I remember. I've been in the US for 30 years now, but each of the two times I've been back has left me with some sense of sadness w.r.t to how things have turned out. THANK YOU for the video!

same here my childhood was spent. You will be devastated now to know that they have cut off these old trees and built ugly multi-stories. It's disorganised, with too many people walking around full of potholes just a sorry stated.

When cars still drove on the left-hand side! So cool. Loved Lagos in the early 70s. I once sat in and played guitar with the band at the Federal Palace Hotel. Great memories...

Relatively few accidents and observance of speed limits. No potholes, roads and streets were tidy and safe. No police and touts collecting bribes and extorting by force! There was a country!

@Tefera-hf8fw3 ай бұрын
ikoyi and GRAs were the colonialist residential areas not for the general public. after independence, the military big shots and senior civil servants moved in, It is important to know accurate history
